Based on the limited research I did with the NCAA guidelines for hosting a regional and super regional, LaTech's facilities are more than adequate. The main two guidelines that stood out to me was a guarantee of shared revenue (could be covered by athletic boosters), adequate housing for visiting teams, press, umpires...etc (Ruston has plenty of decent hotels), and a suitable press box and accommodations for media. The press box could have been an issue before, but the new one is extremely nice and modern. I just moved back to Ruston, and their new baseball facilities are quite possibly the nicest of any mid major schools. I'd even say they rival the baseball facilities of a few P5 conference schools. CUSA fans across the region can see for themselves during the conference tournament this year. The stadium really is a jewel. The tornado was a blessing in disguise for LaTech.

It has been 7 years or so since I have been to a baseball game in Ruston - did not realize the new facility was that nice.

Not surprised - I got to watch a football game in the new seating on the west side - very, very nice. Stadium may be small but damn the suite setup is perfect.

Need to fire Jewett by Monday morning for my sanity. Guy is a total fricking buffoon. It boggles my mind that someone hired this guy to be a head coach

I mean what will it take? They are horrible. LSU fans complain about being complacent as decent but geez, Tulane is forever a .500 team. Brutal look for Tulane.

Do something Dannen. You look just as bad for letting it happen.

Would they gamble on cazzinaro? Big risk but maybe a big reward.

Not a fan of the techsters but even before the tornado I thought the baseball stadium was legit.

Whoever decided to set the dorms to the back of them deserves the money. Very cool look and was at least then a pretty classic looking park

Some people say that he just doesn’t care about baseball. He thinks those 6-6 football teams are enough to make him look great

That is an awesome setting for college baseball. Those kids living there are lucky!

UAB is throwing their ace in one of the seven-inning double-headers Saturday to try and steal a game. Cocksuckers

I actually like that, bring some strategy into it.
Is CUSA doing 7 inning double headers all year? AAC is doing the 4 game series thing but they’re all 9 innings. Going to be hell on pitching

Oh it is a great idea, but it's annoying. They don't have much in the pen so throw your best and hope he can give you seven.

They are. It actually shapes up pretty nicely for us, since we have four quality starters and most C-USA schools don't.

I can't imagine four nine-inning games in a weekend. Those Sunday games are going to be shootouts in the later innings with the bullpens already taxed

Louisiana beats the Warhawks 9-5. I forget how many in a row that is now. Is it 25?

That's impressive to beat one team that many times in a row. Going to be very tough to continue that streak through this weekend though, ULM is no slouch this year.

ULM beat the Cajuns last year, or the year before. I was there.

Yeah and I was wrong anyway. I forgot we lost a game to ULM in 2019. It’s now 28 of the last 29.

An unfortunate 4th inning in game 2 causes the Dawgs to split with UAB this afternoon.

Tech will have to go for the series win tomorrow.
