The focus now has to be on getting a true Robin to Trae’s Batman.

I said it last week;.....

Bradley Beal.

Congrats to the Hawks. They are really set up for a long, sustained run.

I basically owe them an apology. I said they would never get this far, would choke and basically was just another "Georgia Sports Team" disappointment

They were not. Great run, just ran out of gas. Not a choke job at all

You're a good man.

Hawks are gonna be really good for a while.

Go get Beal.

Can I interest you in a Lonzo Ball sign and trade deal for Mister John Collins?

HELL NO!

In all seriousness though, I would like one of Hunter, Huerter, or Reddish lol. Reddish’s trade value was probably in the tank up until like 3-4 days ago lol.

Not getting rid of Hunter or Red Velvet. Reddish I would listen on.

If Trae was healthy they go to the Finals IMO.

They didn't roll over. They just ran out of gas. Now go get Beal.

I more of a fan of getting Rose. He single handily kept the Knicks from getting blasted and swept

It was a lot of fun but the way they rolled over after Giannis went down has to leave somewhat of a sour taste. There will never be an easier path to the Finals/title.

Agree 100%. Obviously it was a great run, most figured we wouldn’t beat the knicks. But it also sucks to see us blow what was a great opportunity to “steal” a title. I really can’t see many easier paths

ETA the Collins situation is the biggest question mark. They really need a better #2, someone who can score better. Very tough

No dude. He's 32 and oft-injured.

Repeat after me, Bradley Beal.

The effort in game 5 was beyond pathetic and they got outworked at home in game 6. They showed they could compete in the first four games of the series. You can call it rolling over or whatever you want but Milwaukee wanted it more in games 5 and 6.

Well game 5 may have been their worst game of the season and 6 wasn’t much better. Describe them however you want

Not sure if they were aberration games or not, but the biggest takeaway from this run might have been the glimpse we all got of what Reddish might be moving forward.

If you guys were really wanting " championship or bust" from this team then you are losing perspective. Neither them or the Bucks are beating the Suns.

Psychologically. Damaged.

Yep, one of the reasons I was screaming to get him PT earlier in the series. I also really thought we should have tried playing Trae a couple min in game 5 just to get some rust off. But I totally get I am not a doc and have no clue if either of these were even feasible.

Our problem is we have a ton of really solid pieces but not a ton of reliability from game to game. Like we never know who is going to be off / who is going to step up. If we had that true #2 scorer it’s a completely different scenario and really doesn’t matter if some of those guys have off games. We needed Collins to step up more and he did in a couple games but probably not enough to warrant what he wants

It’s very possible to be happy with the run and also disappointed in how it ultimately ended

I would argue your defeatist mentality is more a reflection of the psychological damage. I don't think there was a championship or bust mentality from anyone but taking into account the way everything played out with everyone getting hurt across the league, the Hawks very easily could have won the title.

The Suns would be favored against a healthy Hawks team, but barely. Acting like beating the Suns is an impossible task and calling others psychologically damaged, lol.

The Suns would be -300 at least vs a healthy Hawks in a series

This for sure. The one constant was Trae before the injury. Even if he was having a below average game, he seemed to step up when it mattered. We saw just how much a healthy Trae mattered in games 5 and 6.

Definitely some truth to this but I think a lot of it was due to injuries. So many guys missed significant time this season it was hard to ever get the right rotations figured out and get anybody in any rhythm playing together.

So for all you guys that want to let JC walk(I wouldn't), this is a list of the available PF's in FA. Suffice to say the list sucks.

FA NBA PF's.

You guys shouldn't be so quick to put JC on the first bus out of town. IMO, the Hawks need to match any offer, even if it comes close to the max. His overall game really improved this year and he's still only 24, so he still has room to grow.
