What does this bring their 2020 payroll to already close to $160 million?

And they still need a starting infielder and maybe 2 outfielders and still more pitching help.

Yeah you would think maybe adding a lefty like Bumgarner would have been the better option for Philly.

Both 30 so no additional value going Wheeler over Bumgarner for length of contract.

Both around same expected dollar amount.

Now so many behind closed door factors that aren't known but at least on paper I would have gone Bumgarner over Wheeler
