Because it is the rules. No different than a $5000 claiming race. I'm just glad it didn't happen however it was very very close.

True...what we need is a foot race between you two at Sonic, well...maybe a foot race isn’t the correct terminology.

Those of us who follow the sport know how close we were today to a catastrophe that would be a death nail considering the current state of horseracing. As unfortunate as the DQ was it was the right decision.

Yeah...he’s a strange mother f-er...but what would we do do without him?

The sport will lose a lot of casual fans because of this continued pussification of America.

there will always be a "worst poster on the site", but even 08 and Winston provide moments of entertainment

People watch NASCAR for the wrecks
People watch hockey for the fights
NFL is a blood sport
But they’re going to penalize horses for a close call??
fricking stupid.

Except there is currently a call to end horse racing thanks to the Santa Anita debacle

So after 145 years of racing.
Probably over 1 million races on any given level, today’s close call warranted a DQ and gave the race to a horse that wasn’t even close to being the best on the track?

he was 2nd best at the end.. closer than anyone else. And the best dont always win, just like in any sport. Sometimes on3 just has a better day

DQ's happen every day in the sport.

Cry me a fricking river
145 years of racing.
No horse went down, no horse or jockey was injured
No one is being put to sleep
Quit being so fricking dramatic

As if we know what would have happened had 7 stayed in his damn lane.
