Used to they’d draw numbers for an order of go and you’d pick your spot based on what is available. I liked that.

Yes I liked the old way where you got a spot then you chose your post.

Finally, we got some post positions.

My first thoughts... I'm not big on By My Standards, but I like the 3 hole draw.

I'm thinking, $10 7/12 exacta box.

Then maybe run some straight $2 exactas 7/3, 7/5, 7/17 and 12/3, 12/5, 12/17.

$32 total bets.

Although, part of me says just F it, and put $32 on 12 to win.

Or... $5 trifectas boxing 7/12 with the other 3 coming in 3rd. So 7/12/3, 12/7/3, 7/12/5, 12/7/5, 7/12/17 and 12/7/17. 6 bets, $30 total.

I'm just happy that Omaha Beach didn't draw the 14 or 15 hole. It seems those horses always get the worst of it out of the break with the 15 being pushed hard to the inside and bumping the 14 pretty hard. Omaha Beach at 12 should insulate him from some of the commotion.
