Alright. Holidays had me messed up for the last couple of weeks. All team records are updated in the OP and below is the schedule for this weekend. Thread will be back on track going forward. Everyone will have played a conference game by the end of this weekend.

Pretty good weekend as teams went a combined 9-3.


LSU opened SEC play with a 78-64 win at Tennessee. Javonte Smart scored 21 to lead the Tigers who also got 17 points from Skylar Mays and 15 points from Trendon Watford in the win. LSU improves to 9-4 overall and 1-0 in conference.

ULM cruised to a 69-49 win over South Alabama. Michael Ertel has a huge game for the Warhawks scoring 39 points. JD Williams also reached double figures adding 14 points in the win. ULM is now 6-7 this season and 2-2 in Sun Belt play.

Tulane got their first conference win in over a year with a 76-71 win over Cincinnati. The Wave were led by Teshaun Hightower, Christion Thompson and Kevin Zhang who scored 22, 20 & 15 points respectively in the victory. Tulane is now 9-5 this year and 1-1 in the AAC.

McNeese lost at Central Arkansas 69-79. AJ Lawson scored 15 and Dru Kruxhausen had 14 as they were the only Cowboy players to reach double figures in the loss. McNeese falls to 5-9 overall and 0-3 in the Southland.

Southeastern picked up their first SLC win with an 84-80 win at Texas A&M-CC. Four of the five starters reached double figures for the Lions including Pape Diop (23), Von Julien (20), Ty Brewer (19) and Byron Smith (10). Southeastern improves to 4-10 on the season and 1-2 in conference.

Louisiana Tech rolled against Southern Miss winning 78-50. Kalob Ledoux was the high scorer for the Bulldogs with 20 points while Isaiah Crawford scored 15 and Dequan Bracey & Amorie Archibald each added 10 points in the win. Louisiana Tech is now 11-3 on the year and 2-0 in CUSA play.

Nicholls got a big road win at Sam Houston State winning 70-58. D'Angelo Hunter, Elvis Harvey and Kevin Johnson were the double digit scorers for the Colonels with 19, 14 & 11 points respectively in the victory. Nicholls gets to 9-6 overall and 3-1 in SLC play.

Grambling opened SWAC play with a 70-60 win over Alabama A&M. Ivy Smith, Jr. scored 14 points and Devante Jackson scored 13 points for the Tigers in the win. Grambling gets back to .500 on the year at 7-7 and is 1-0 in conference.

UNO lost to Stephen F Austin 68-87. The Privateers got a 31 point effort from Bryson Robinson and 10 points from Jahmel Myers in the loss. UNO falls to 4-10 this season and 0-4 in the Southland.

ULL got their first Sun Belt win of the year with a 79-62 win over Troy. The Cajuns had five players in double figures including Mylik Wilson (18 & 13 rebounds), Dou Gueye (16), Cedric Russell (15), Tirus Smith (15) and Calvin Temple (12). The Cajuns are now 6-9 overall and 1-3 in conference play.

Southern began conference play with a 68-77 loss at Texas Southern. The Jags got 13 points from both Ahsante Shivers & Amel Kuljuhovic and 10 points from both Darius Williams & Montese Blake in the loss. Southern falls to 3-11 this year and 0-1 in the SWAC.

Northwestern State got an easy win over Houston Baptist 106-79. Five players were in double digits for the Demons including Trenton Massner (20), Jairus Roberson (19), Larry Owens (14), Jamaure Gregg (14) and Nikos Chougkaz (12). Northwestern State improves to 5-8 on the season and 2-2 in SLC play.

Teams in action last night went 2-2.

ULM had a rough one at Coastal Carolina losing 64-93. Langston Powell was the leading scorer for the Warhawks with 18 points while Michael Ertel had 15 and Jalen Hodge added 11 points in the loss. ULM drops to 6-8 on the season and 2-3 in SBC play.

ULL was also on the road and they got a 81-73 win over Appalachian State. The Cajuns got a big scoring night from Mylik Wilson who scored 30 points. Dou Gueye, Jalen Johnson and Calvin Temple were also in double figures with 15, 13 & 12 points respectively in the win. The Cajuns improve to 7-9 overall and 2-3 in Sun Belt play.

Grambling picked up another conference win defeating Alabama State 68-63. The Tigers had three players in double figures including Cam Christon with 13, Devante Jackson with 12 and Ivy Smith, Jr. with 10 points in the win. Grambling is now 8-7 on the year and 2-0 in SWAC play.

Southern lost 54-64 on the road at Prairie View A&M. Damiree Burns was the only Jag to reach double digits in the scoring column as he had 12 points in the loss. Southern falls to 3-12 overall and 0-2 in conference.

There were no games last night but there is a lot of action tonight as six teams will take the court. Most of the games are on the road but there are home games in Baton Rouge & New Orleans. See schedule for tonight below.

State schools went 5-2 last night.


Southeastern had a big first half but couldn't hold on in the second half losing 62-67 at Sam Houston State. Ty Brewer was the leading scorer for the Lions with 18 points while Pape Diop and Von Julien each scored 11 in the loss. Southeastern falls to 4-11 this season and 1-3 in SLC play.

McNeese picked up their first Southland win at Abilene Christian 88-84. The Cowboys got huge performances from AJ Lawson who scored a game high 37 points and Shamarkus Kennedy who had 24 points & 11 rebounds in the win. McNeese improves to 6-9 this year and 1-3 in conference.

UNO also picked up their first conference win beating Central Arkansas 86-78. The Privateers had six players in double figures including Lamont Berzat (18), Jahmel Myers (17), Gerrale Gates (14), Troy Green (12), Raquan Brown (12) and Bryson Robinson (11). UNO is now 5-10 overall and 1-3 in the Southland.

Nicholls picked up a road win at Lamar winning 61-52. Dexter McClanahan and Andre Jones were the double digit scorers for the Colonels with 17 & 16 points respectively in the win. Nicholls improves to 10-6 on the season and 4-1 in the SLC.

In a game that I accidentally omitted from the schedule last night, Northwestern State got a 72-66 win at Incarnate Word. The Demons were led by Chudier Bile's 22 points & 12 rebounds and Trenton Massner's 17 point effort. Northwestern State now sits at 6-8 on the year and 3-2 in conference play.

LSU was able to edge out Arkansas to get a 79-77 win. The Tigers got good performances from Trendon Watford (21 points), Skylar Mays (19 points), Darius Days (16 points & 16 rebounds) and Javonte Smart (10 points) in the win. LSU improves to 10-4 overall and 2-0 in SEC play.

Tulane came up just short at UConn losing 61-67. The Wave got a trio of double digit scoring efforts from Teshaun Hightower, KJ Lawson and Nic Thomas who scored 17, 16 & 11 points respectively in the loss. Tulane drops to 9-6 this season and 1-2 in the AAC.

Last night was pretty rough as teams in action went 0-3.


Louisiana Tech dug themselves a big hole in the first half and ultimately lost at UTSA 73-89. Daquan Bracey and Kalob Ledoux were the leading scorers for the Bulldogs with 12 points each and Derric Jean added 11 points in the loss. Louisiana Tech drops their first conference game and now sit at 11-4 overall and 2-1 in CUSA.

ULL got absolutely destroyed losing 52-90 at Georgia State. Jalen Johnson scored 12 points and he was the only Cajuns player to reach double figures in the scoring column in the game. The Cajuns fall to 7-10 on the season and 2-4 in SBC play.

ULM also fell behind in the first half at Georgia Southern and ended up losing 56-67. The Warhawks got 20 points from JD Williams, 14 points from Chris Efretuei and 12 points from Michael Ertel in the loss. ULM drops to 6-9 this year and 2-4 in the Sun Belt.




There are no games tonight, but every state school is back in action tomorrow. We have three in state match ups taking place in Lake Charles, Hammond and Baton Rouge. See below for the weekend schedule.

Over the weekend state teams went a combined 6-6.


Tulane was on the road and picked up a 65-51 win over Temple. Teshaun Hightower and Jordan Walker each scored 17 points to lead the Wave and KJ Lawson added 16 points & 10 rebounds in the win. Tulane improves to 10-6 on the season and 2-2 in AAC play.

ULM struggled in the second half and ended up losing 62-84 at Georgia State. Tyree White was the high scorer for the Warhawks with 21 points while JD Williams added 14 points and Michael Ertel scored 10 in the loss. ULM falls to 6-10 on the year and 2-5 in the SBC.

ULL also had a rough second half losing 51-71 at Georgia Southern. Jalen Johnson scored 15 points and Tirus Smith scored 12 as they were the only Cajuns to reach double digits in the scoring column. The Cajuns drop to 7-11 overall and 2-5 in Sun Belt play.

In the first of three in state match ups on Saturday, McNeese beat Northwestern State 85-76. Nicholls improves to 11-6 on the year and 5-1 in the SLC while Southeastern falls to 4-12 and 1-4.

UNO lost in a nail biter at Incarnate Word 70-73. The Privateers got 17 points from Bryson Robinson, 15 points from Troy Green and 13 points & 13 rebounds from Gerrale Gates but it wasn't quite enough. UNO is now 5-11 on the season and 1-5 in Southland play.

In the final in state match up from Saturday, Grambling made a big second half comeback to win at Southern 61-56. Cam Christon and Devante Jackson each scored 13 for the Tigers and Anthony Gaston added 11 points in the win. The Jags got double figure scoring efforts from Brendon Brooks (14), Ahsante Shivers (12), Amel Kuljuhovic (11) and Micah Bradford (10) in the loss. Grambling improves to 9-7 overall and 3-0 in SWAC play while Southern is now 3-13 and 0-3.

Skylar Mays made a bucket at the end to get LSU past Mississippi State 60-59. The Tigers were led by Emmitt William's 17 point effort and got 15 points from Charles Manning, Jr. and 11 points from Skylar Mays in the win. LSU gets to 11-4 on the season and 3-0 in the SEC.

And in the last game of the day Louisiana Tech picked up a 64-61 road win at UTEP. The Bulldogs were led by Amorie Archibald, Derric Jean and Daquan Bracey who scored 14, 13 & 12 points respectively in the win. Louisiana Tech now sits at 12-4 on the year and 3-1 in CUSA play.

Teams in action last night were 1-1.


Grambling lost their first conference game of the year falling 69-87 at Alcorn State. The Tigers had four players reach double figure points including Cam Christon (17), Devante Jackson (14), Ivy Smith, Jr. (11) and Trevell Cunningham (10) but still came up short. Grambling drops to 9-8 on the season and 3-1 in SWAC play.

Southern picked up their first SWAC win with a 56-50 victory over Jackson State. Lamarcus Lee and Micah Bradford led the way for the Jags with 18 points & 14 points respectively in the win. Southern is now 4-13 this year and 1-3 in conference.

Fun fact from this game. UTEP was on an 18-1 run late in the second half and was on the verge of going up double-digits and their coach won "Dumbass of the Year" by getting a technical foul for arguing a questionable call

Bulldogs hit both free throws which stopped the bleeding and LA Tech was able to regain composure and went on to win the game


I have never seen such incompetence from a division 1 head coach

LSU kept their conference road winning streak alive with a 89-85 overtime win against Texas A&M. The Tigers were led by Trendon Watford's 19 points & 11 rebounds and Skylar Mays' 19 point effort. The Tigers also got double figure scoring performances from Javonte Smart, Darius Days and Emmitt Williams who scored 18, 16 & 10 points respectively. LSU improves to 12-4 on the season and 4-0 in the SEC.

In the other game last night, Tulane lost to UCF 55-74. The Wave got double digit scoring efforts from Christion Thompson (19), Nic Thomas (12) and KJ Lawson (10) in the loss. Tulane drops to 10-7 on the year and 2-3 in AAC play.



It's a Southland Wednesday tonight as every state school in the conference is in action including an in state match up in Thibodaux. See below for the schedule.

Northwestern State hit a three at the buzzer to win at Nicholls 73-72. The Demons were led by Jairus Roberson's 24 points and got double doubles from both Chudier Bile (10 points & 10 rebounds) and Trenton Massner (10 points & 12 rebounds) as well as a 10 point effort from John Norvel in the win.
