Or listen to games on NHL app. But that doesn’t work for me in the car. I loved listening to Strangis and Reagh on Stars games at night on WBAP. I could also pick up Blackhawks games on WGN.

Razor Reaugh is the best. If you're local, The Ticket is much better because its on FM. And if you're not local, why are you trying to get it on radio? Use an app, and you'll get a clear feed.

Ralph is enjoying the next chapter in his life from all accounts, including his own. but damn I miss him a lot. a significant part of my childhood died when Mo retired and then he followed

But I'm not local. I have more options now than then as a recent poor graduate still living at home with parents too stubborn to get cable. But yeah, back then it was nice to be able to turn on the radio to get Stars games when the Blues weren't on. And the announcers made the games even more enjoyable.

As I said earlier, when I'm in the car or visiting family I'm stuck with radio only. When I'm at home I use the app.

I can't fault anyone to retire, but I liked Reagh more as an analyst than play by play. Now the Stars have Ludwig as the analyst. I think Strangis filled in with the Kings when Miller had some problems a few years ago. Bob Miller and Jim Fox on the Kings broadcasts are also good.

I think it’s somewhere in here, but you’ll have to dig to find it.

Bettman and League officials had a meeting today discussing Seattle expansion team. Next step to be detailed tonight.

Awesome. Congrats Seattle.

Sounds like Coyotes aren’t moving there then. I was curious if expansion would be delayed until the league decided if they would want to move another team there first. Good for Seattle. Maybe they’ll have a rivalry with Canucks.

Forbes most and least valuable teams. Canucks are higher than I thought they would be.

Blues should only go up in value once they sign a new TV deal with FSN Midwest.

The Blues’ current TV deal with Fox Sports Midwest, which gives the hockey team among the lowest rights fees in the league, expires after this season. The new deal should be significantly higher.

Canucks have western Canada. I'm not surprised they make good money. But I am surprised the league isn't calling it a day in Arizona and moving the team to Seattle. Arizona is an obvious failed market. Just move on, y'all.

Oilers and Flames are also in Western Canada though. A decade ago most probably though Nashville was a failed experiment too. I can’t even remember the last time Coyotes were in the playoffs. I would hope the support would be there if they can ever become good again.

How awesome is this?

quote:

ST. LOUIS - How's this for a season ticket holder benefit? Tyler Stewart, whose parents have Blues season tickets in the mezzanine level, will dress as an emergency goaltender to take warm-ups with the team before tonight's game against the Dallas Stars. With Carter Hutton sustaining a lower-body injury earlier Thursday, the Blues had to recall goalie Ville Husso under emergency conditions from the San Antonio Rampage. Husso is not expected to arrive in time for warm-ups, so the Blues reached out to Stewart, 25, who played college hockey at Saint Louis University. Stewart will wear No. 98 and will be the backup goaltender until Husso arrives. Stewart has worked as an intern in the Blues community relations department, served as a camp counselor at the Blues Youth Hockey Camp and has worked for one year on the Blues Street Team. He has played in 79 games for the Billikens, posting a 4.13 goals-against average.

Man this happened so damn quick, it is apparently all approved for Seattle expansion NHL team. Wow. Would be for 2020-21 season, Seattle and Seattle only for expansion, no other teams/cities.

That’s awesome. I would have thought Quebec City would have submitted an application.
