wtf damn djoker has played like 6 games in 2 rounds
Posted on 9/2/16 at 3:27 pm to The Egg
Gotta be the easiest route into the 4th round of all time.

I'll say he looked pretty sharp though

Rafa 's answer to LZ Granderson in post match interview to where do you keep your Olympic medal.....Well I have a museum in Mallorca. The life these guys (mainly Nadal and Federer) have lived is beyond my imagination.

My concern about Bellis turning pro is on full display. She doesn't have any weapons. She's just very smart, consistent, and competitive. Her game is not that big though.

Wozniacki has built a nice career on that.

Touché. Very good analogy. Although Wozniacki moves better.

Thanks Isner for serving 120 instead of 130-140 all day.
Radwanska doesn't really have weapons either.

Rafa had the GOAT tweener. It was a perfect lob, he dropped his racket, and won the point.

Wow... and the Kuznetsov lob barely catches the baseline too. Great point.

Forget it, I misread the score on the U.S. Open site.

Looks like Rafa match is going 4 or 5 sets. Sock just survived the 3rd to stay alive for now against Jo Willy.

My prediction of Monfils implosion hasn't happened, what's wrong with him?
Posted on 9/4/16 at 3:14 pm to sms151t
He's a changed man now. Less theatrics and more focus. He's had an easy road so far too.

I've never seen Pouille, but the guy is tough. Rafa is starting to impose his will now. Monfils will play Rafa tight for two sets, then run out of gas. Tsonga just beat Sock in four sets.

Kinda sad, but I don't see Rafa or Roger winning another hard court slam.

I don't see how you can play an entire career with only a slice serve, and no flat balls or kickers. It's sort of impressive and disappointing at the same time.

You talking about Rafa? In one of his U.S. Open wins, his MPH and aces were way up that tournament. He said he tried an extreme grip, but can't use that long term. I do think it's interesting that he used to only serve at the center, but now he serves from the middle of the box a lot in the ad court. The one thing he is owning Pouille on is the serve out wide in the ad court.

He does vary the speed and he has pinpoint location, but it's still just a slice. Almost every other player hits all 3 serves.
But if he simply can't do it due to injuries or something, then I can't really criticize him.
