Best tournament I've maybe ever seen from Isner. Wish he would have been able to pull out a W, but still a great performance.

Year end tournament up now in London. Nole beat Thiem and Raonic won against Monfils yesterday. Nishikori cruised against Stan and Murray won relatively easily against Cilic today. Round robin the rest of the week, with semis on Saturday. Not sure what the exact measurement is, but there has been some coverage about the court speed getting amped up. Good for the sport IMO.

That would explain Stan and Gael struggling. It should help Cilic too, but it probably didn't matter vs. God-mode Murray. I'll take a chance on Cilic over Stan tonight. Thanks for the heads up.

Or tomorrow night...

I think it will be:

Seminals:
Djoke v. Kei

Murray v. Raonic

Finals:
Djokovic v. Murray*

Winner Winner Scottish Fried Chicken Dinner:
The Younger Brother of the Great Jamie Murray

If gambling were legal in this country, one might be able to place some action on these two matches with listed odds:

Andy Murray -310
Kei Nishikori +280

tanislas Wawrinka +121
Marin Cilic -131

If I were to put down action on these, I would go Kei at +280 and Cilic at +131.

I have a hunch that Stan has mentally checked for the season and is perfectly okay with heading home early.

And on the other one, I just think +280 is a touch too high for a 3-set match against a shotmaker on an allegedly fast hard court.

Apparently Kei put up a good fight. I was hoping for a +150 on Cilic. Didn't expect him to be favored for sure. Looks like somebody or some bodies know something.

I have to say I'm thankful that sports betting is illegal here, or I could be subject to things like financial gains, adrenaline rushes, and/or more enjoyment in sports.

Goffin was already guaranteed $99K just for standing by, and he pocketed $179K for replacing Monfils and losing 6-1, 6-2 to Joker. Nice gig.

I don't understand Thiem's approach to returning Raonic's 1st serve at all. He's standing on top of the baseline.

I'm not really watching, but he may be trying to make it harder for Milos to serve and volley, and also forcing him to move quickly after serving. It sounds good in theory. Returning that serve is almost hopeless to begin with, so anything might be worth a shot.

Stan and Murray are on ESPN3 for anyone who doesn't want to do work this morning. I think everyone is still alive in that group.

Kei lost but should have the tiebreaker over Cilic and Stan. That would make the "semis" Andy vs. Milos and Kei vs. Novak.

Raonic and Murray up now. Nishikori and Djokovic at 3:00 eastern. Not sure why Kei screwed around playing three sets when I think he could have lost 6-0, 6-0 and advanced. Anyway, it's cool to have number one for the year on the line in these matches.

Heading to a 3rd set. Raonic's baseline game has improved significantly. He's playing well.

What a 3rd set. At 4 all there were 4 straight breaks then Murray wins the tiebreaker 11-9.
