What a terrible decision by Kosta. He won't get the starters minutes he wanted and could have gotten elsewhere. Plus he could have made more money elsewhere. The deal is too long too.

He will be traded within 18 months imo.

It is fantastic deal for SAC.

So it's looking like all we gave up was a future second rounder for hibbert. If true, this is an incredible trade by mitch

Basically exactly what I said on the last page.

Even if he is a 1 year rental that is a fantastic deal.

It is much better than giving up a first rounder for Omer Asik....

It will be interesting watching Dekker, who the Rockets took with that pick. I do think Asik is underrated at this point. He was a force on a Rockets team that made the playoffs Harden's first year. Dude was a monster on the boards and anchored our defense.

Hibbert won't put them into the playoffs and it guarantees they lose next year's 1st as well. They're just fricking up the 76ers a bit.

He fits well next to Randle and is only 28. He could still be a very good piece down the road by the time y'alls key guys start reaching their primes.

And his salary works well if we need to move it by the deadline. I like this a lot as long as it's what is reported

The Lakers will have Hibbert's bird rights next year correct?

Same here and Bresnahan confirmed earlier that we are only giving up a future 2nd round pick in this deal

That Hibbert deal is so freaking good. LA is probably the place he could have the biggest impact with the defensive liabilities on that team. Really good pick up.

Did you watch basketball this season? Tristan Thompson is a wayyyyyyy above average defender.
And I don't think it's him being delusional, I think it's the fact that he and Lebron share the same agent so he knows he can get a lot more money from the Cavs than he can get anywhere else.

Javale is really a dumber DeAndre with a high ceiling and a lower floor.

However....

We'll see what happens when he plays with a bunch of other guys that don't defend. Asik's defensive stats took a nose dive with the Pels and only really recovered any after the mid season acquisitions of better perimeter defenders. Not even Bill Russell could make up for the poor defense of Luke Babbitt, Austin Rivers and Tyreke Evans. If Hibbert's able to remain a top rim protector with the Lakers then he might earn himself another big payday. I'm betting this time next year people are asking "What happened to Hibbert? He was so good once upon a time."
