I'm not saying Rockets would have been a lock to win it all, but a lineup with:
Dragic
Harden
Parsons
[Insert the Power Forward of the Week Here]
Howard
Would have been pretty absurd to try to handle. Dragic killed OKC last time we played them. Maybe the last 2 times; not for sure.
Hindsight is of course 20/20, but thank you for letting the Dragon go.

I for sure was vocal about not keeping Dragic. LE and SFP will tell you that. It is what it is now, but Lin will not be on the team after next year. His decision making is worse than any guard I can think of.

Yes, I can read. Yes, I posted it. Similarly to how atlanta fans were on the ST board, you guys come on PT and the back and forth is entertaining for a good 5-10 minutes.

you need to watch more roberts.
Lin was signed for the $$ he was going to bring in and his hot streak potential while in NY. Houston had china and most of the 'asian fans' rooting for them because of Yao. With him gone, Lin was supposed to be new Yao in terms of popularity. Too bad it didn't work out both ways for you guys.

Why?
Not flaming, just curious. He's been a Spur-killer for years, that much I know

That was me trying to tell you that your post was corny

I didn't word that right. I was pissed we didn't resign him. As a starter that year for us he played like an all-star. I couldn't understand giving his money to Lin, who was unproven.

Oh ok, gotcha.
Totally read that the opposite way, my bad
Agree with you

Really wish Harden and Mo were mic'd up so we could hear what was being said.
Posted on 4/28/14 at 1:08 am to okietiger
NBA should just mic all the players up in the PO's

I would love to have Mo on our bench.
That said, he's a bitch

I would kill to have Mo on OKC's bench as well. I've loved his game since watching him light it up with Bron in Cleveland.

Lin was cheaper, no?

Lin was signed for 3 years/$25mil I believe and Dragic got a deal for 4 years /$30 mil.
I could be off there but I think that's about right. I know Lin's is back weighted.

According to two espn articles I found: Lin signed 4 at $28 with a team option for the fourth year; Dragic signed 4 at $34 with a player option.
So going Lin allowed a little versatility -- especially early on with the backloaded contract, and then option as a team instead of player.

It was down to Portland or Memphis this offseason for him. Portland could pay him more.

Did you not just watch your back up PG likely save OKC's season?
