Watching video on Nassib. His passes might as well be fastballs. He has a fricking cannon, he just needs some better footwork and accuracy.

If he can go somewhere and sit for a couple of seasons, I think he could be a pretty efficient QB.

Hasn't hurt Drew Brees.

It hurt his draft stock and he was waaaaaaaay better than Murray in college.

Murray's like 6' though.

Hasn't hurt Drew Brees.

Nothing like drafting for the statistical exception.

I already said this, but I think Ryan Nassib could make the jump to the next level.

Nassib has a very live arm.

People have also failed to mention Mike Glennon, who will be a stud if given some time, and Seth Doege. Both are good prospects depending on where you get em.

6' is generous for Murray. He's about the same height as Russell Wilson.

He is leading the nation in passing efficiency though, so it's clear that he knows how to run a pro-style offense at this level.

Being in a spread before the spread became accepted hurt him more. Michael Vick was taken number one overall that year and he was/is the same height.

But as good as Drew was at Purdue, he still didn't go first round.

First pick in the second round. Wasn't like he was some 5th round scrub either.

2001 was one of the weakest QB classes from top to bottom in recent memory. Besides Vick and Brees, none of the others have really panned out.

Vick was the only QB taken in the first round, btw.

Tim Couch was the 1st pick of the draft out of a spread system two years before Brees came out. Pennington was a 1st rounder a year before Brees.

I would venture to say a cannon.

I think with the right coaching, he will end up being one of the top QB's.

Nassib's coach is a former Saints assistant and they run a pro style offense. So he's got that to his credit, as well.
