McDowell always seems to be a stud in these things. If there is a putt to be made, or an approach needed, he always seems to come through.

That's a good sign, IMO. They can't make them all over 3 days. If the US is only 1 down in all the matches, and the Euros haven't missed anything, I like our chances over the course of 3 days.

Why do Euros always putt better than Americans? Not just in the Ryder cup but period? It always seems like the best putters on tour are Euros. Except that 10 year stretch where Tiger was better than everyone in everything
