Just like I thought.... Courtney Hawkins has already gotten a call from Ken Williams saying no more backflips.

Stroman's numbers are crazy. Wonder how high he would've gone if he was 3 inches taller.

My one day of draft research tells me i'm not thrilled about Coulter, fell better about Roache.

Just don't feel like catcher was that big of a need and there was comparable upside at the pick.

Brewers got two of the best power hitters in the Draft. Obviously you don't draft for need, and that kid will likely outgrow C and wind up in the corner OF.

Pitt Tribune………….Uh-oh, here we go. Mark Appel is “not available” for conference call with Pittsburgh media, according to Pirates

Me thinks he may not be thrilled with his drop.

I get it, but the Brewers NEED infield prospects in the worst way.

Could be. MLB network aired an interview with Appel prior to the draft and he talked about being drafted #1 and going to Houston saying that it would be a dream come true.

So he wasn't all business beforehand and was willing to talk about where he might go. Now he's all about Stanford ball so who knows. It's certainly not going to be easy for him to play hardball on a price with the new draft budgeting.

@Dejan_Kovacevic: Mark Appel had as much to do with authoring that statement as I had in the Magna Carta.
