If I want to do an exacta box, do they allow $1 boxes to where the total ticket is $2, or is the minimum bet $2, to where the total for an exacta box would be $4?

Big tip?

Was it that they are shortening the race by 3f?

$1

Derby I always do a $1 box on 5 horses for $20.

I'm poor.

Watch my horse in the seventh!

Well... Not mine, but my hubby is the assistant.

I was gonna do a small wps with most on show for him, but he hates moisture in a track

7 horse.

Is fast track where they go balls to the wall, yes.

If its deep, no.

4 Amazombie? I think he'll be done in 6 1/2 unless the go slow.

So, I don't know shite about horse racing but I want to put a few dollars down on the races today..

I need a good strategy. I'm thinking about put down $20 or so (maybe doing $10 each on 1st and 2nd) on both of the favorites (Union Rags and Bodemeister)and then putting $5 on win, place, and show on a longshot, I'm thinking Dullahan.

Is that a stupid strategy?

Personally, I like to pick 2 or 3 horses (usually 2 long shots and one of the favorites) and put a $3 bet across the board ($3 bet across the board = $9). More years than not I will win something, but less times than not I win more than I bet (I will have a horse that at least shows).

I like the excitement of a possible long shot I bet on winning so it is all in what makes it exciting for you..

As much as I enjoy Horse Racing, I really only wager on it during the triple crown races, I deposited on twin spires last year and did the same again today.

I like watching the prep races and trying to get a feel for the horses I like, I have had a decent amount of success and it's more fun for me that way.. I watched about 20 races last night on YouTube and jotted down a few horses I liked, lol, here is who I'm putting money on. My wife Always picks the favorite so I always try to outwit her, she is the one that got my Hooked on this 10-15 years ago.

Here is the horses I like in order:
Dullahan
Alpha
I'll Have Another
Bodemeister
Union Rags
Take Charge Indy

Thanks Chris. Like you, I'm not trying to get rich...I just love the excitement of having some money on the line....I'm now probably going to go with your strategy, probably bet the board with 3 horses, one of the favorites and two longshots.....maybe do Indy and
Dullahan as my longshots......Which favorite is everyone liking the most? Union Rags?

I called Aspy on the phone from offshore

This is what I got.

7th race 7 horse---$5 wps===15 dolla

11th race Kentucky Derby.

5 horses $2 trifecta box====$120 dolla

4--Union Rags
6--Bodemeister
10--Daddy Nose Best
18--Sabercat
19--I'll Have Another

She was saying that it will be sloppy so dropped, Went the Day Well, Dullahan. Said that Castellano got hurt so dropped Gemologist.

Of course anything and everything can happen but that's why we gamble

Anyways good luck people.
