Ken Dorsey is about to get fricked up.

Dorsey and Krenzel both got beaten to a pulp in this game. Think like half of both defenses would've been ejected today

This is what people gloss over. First and goal from the two and you can’t score

Miami absolutely deserved to lose, completely outcoached; their center Brett Romberg admitted that on Twitter. Tressel may have been old school, but he had some great game plans for bowls aside from the 2007 Florida debacle.

They were talking about how good Dorsey was playing and he had like 12 it's with a 55percent completion percentage. He was 2018 burrow pretty much .

Man that offense what's putrid back then. We would have held them under 21 easy

Mark Dantonio and Mel Tucker TYFYS.

I believe a lot of people thought Jim Bollman was a shitty OC too.

I’ve said this since the day after this game was played that OSU out coached and outplayed Miami that night.

FIFY

He's not in any way an elite OC. He was able to put up points at OSU because OSU's talent often made up for bad gameplans. Having 3 first round WRs in the 2005 season (Ginn/Holmes/Gonzo) along with a guy like Troy Smith at the college level makes gameplanning a bit easier.

He went to Sparty and has had again ok success for their roster, but their defense is always far ahead of their offense

Chris Gamble was the man. I wasn’t at the game but my dad still says his pick 6 against Penn State that season was the loudest he’s heard the Horseshoe.

2001 Miami didn't score an offensive touchdown against BC. If not for Ed Reed's crazy pick six they might have lost that game. BC finished 8-4. I think Miami is overrated as an all-time great team bc of how good their players were in the pros

Bobby Carpenter hosts a radio show in Columbus.

He said due to the scheduling at the time (Ohio State playing Michigan the week before Thanksgiving, and no title game) that in those 6 weeks leading up to the game, they installed an entirely new defense which utterly confused Miami for the first 3 quarters.

He said ultimately they won because we had the better lines (true) and Chris Gamble owned Andre Johnson.

He also mentioned that Miami had a very vanilla offense and ran a lot of the same plays but just out athleted everyone. They couldn't do that to Ohio State and weren't prepared how to handle it (aka Larry Coker was badly outcoached).

Miami hosed themselves with 5 turnovers. They won that game fairly convincingly in all other areas.

Krenzel completed 33% of his passes for 122 yards, 0 TD's and 2 picks. Clarett ran for 47 yards on 23 attempts.

If Miami doesn't have 3 fumbles, they win by 10.

I loved that defense. I don’t think the Nickey/Doss safety duo will ever be topped for me. They both would smack the shite out of you and Doss was a ballhawk.

Also feel like Darian Scott and Tim Anderson are some of the more under appreciated Ohio State DL.

Safe to say Miami was badly outcoached
