I like FSU but Nebraska was the team of the decade. Played in 4 national championships and won 3.

1997 UF vs FSU was the greatest game ever played in the Swamp.

Harder to get louder than it was there for the final 3 minutes

I’ve never heard a louder crowd than when Fred Taylor scored on that last td run.

I was pretty hyped up after Michigan beat ND in 1991 with that great Desmond Howard catch in the corner of the end zone, I believe it was fourth and goal. Two weeks later, Terrell Buckley intercepted Elvis Grbac's first pass and went to the house. The box score shows that Michigan hung in for the fist half, but it really never felt close after that first play. That was a good Michigan team that stomped the Big Ten, but got thrashed by FSU and Washington.

As much recent success as they’ve had their fans are some of if not the sorriest fans in all of college football. Even when Jameis had them highly ranked they can’t fill DCS.

One of the season long videos of the cowboys the WRs were on the sidelines telling the coaches about Buckley "throw it on 27. He cannot cover!"

Their 97 team was the best in nation. A late season loss to UF cost them another national title. They were better than Michigan and Nebraska.

if Bobby Bowden had a kicker he would've had 2-3 more National championships

If Nebraska had a kicker they would've had 4 NCs in 5 years

Uhh...yeah. Alabama has also been solid in the past decade or so.

It’s funny how much the LSU-Bama rematch ruffled feathers, but the same thing happened in ‘96 with FSU and UF.

A lot of people weren’t happy with that rematch back then, but there was less social media to be vocal about it. Plus there was no BCS so we were used to not having a true #1 vs #2. Plus they weren’t from the same division in the same conference, and the road team lost the first game. And I could be wrong but I don’t think there was an available conference champ with a superior resume that could’ve played FSU in the Sugar due to bowl tie-ins at the time.
