Currently you can turn 19 in September at the beginning of the year and still play all year, including in the next spring.

It should be set that the day a kid turns 19 he is no longer eligible to play high school sports.

If they're developmentally challenged then they should be playing in the special olympics or whatever.

Dumb post is dumb.

You think they turn into Superman at 19 or something?

You mad that your son 16 year old braxtyn got a golden sombrero vs a 19 year old pitcher throwing gas?

Put your kid in the appropriate grade. It’s lame. I was still 17 when I graduated.

More than 50% of high school graduates are 17 when they graduate if you factor in most graduations are in May and over > 75% of graduates aren't held back.

Sports families are holding their kids back so they will play against younger kids in high school. It’s crazy. We shouldn’t be rewarding it.

If graduation is in May, and you divide births every month just about even... it leaves 7 months to 5 months (so even factoring people held back).. odds would be above 50% on a general median standard.. I know that we had a graduating class of about 125 and maybe 50 were 18
