et me just put this in context for you, you’re saying that playing a major is more physically taxing than a regular tour event given the same circumstances

The mental aspect of it can affect the physical toll. But who the frick cares? You two stop mucking this thread up. You hate Tiger. We get it. You do this garbage ever major thread.

Why do you think Tiger, in his prime, always took the week before and week after a major off?

They can still do this easily

There is a ton more prep work done leading up to a major as opposed to a normal tour event.

Give me details, because according to you 8 hours a day working on your game (on top of working out) is nothing. Given their need for the one week break, you think they’re amping it up to 12 hours a day?

For a major, yes they put in more work than they do for a regular tournament

Tiger will never win another US or British Open. He's not consistent enough off the tee and doesn't have the strength

That means he wouldn’t win a PGA. You can absolutely win a British Open, and maybe a US with those attributes.

Tiger almost won the Open last year. Tom Watson almost won the Open at 59. You can be very old and still compete in Open Championsips.

Dude they’re trying to peak for every major. You don’t peak for a major by playing twice in one month.

Dude had brain surgery and then had to have a second because he was allergic to the adhesive used to glue the plate into the base of his skull.

I'll forever root for JB to win one.

They play twice a month all the time if you include the majors, dafuq are you talking about

For example, this is DJ’s 16th tournament in the 7th month of the year, what’s that work out to?

Koepka, a guy who self admits he only gets up for majors, is on his 17th so far

The season officially started the first weekend in October. There had already been 9 events that took place before 2019 that count towards the current season. That also doesn't include events like the Hero World Challenge. Koepka also admitted he doesn't practice at all for regular tournaments so I'm not sure why we're using him as an example for anything. He's like the epitome of an outlier.

And since the major season began this year, DJ has played in exactly one tournament between each major.

I’m very aware of the story. I would be far more likely to root for him if he wasn’t the slowest player on tour.

Go by the calendar year, not the season and DJ is still at 14 tournaments for this year

14/7=???

And for him to play one tournament in between each major, does that not put him on a 2 tourney a month schedule?

I was wrong saying 16 for DJ earlier because if you go in his PGA tour profile, it has 16 tournaments for 2019, but I guess they call it the 2019 season now and not 18/19 and I didn’t look at what the tournaments were
