I wouldn't say distance is Tiger's problem.

Played Carnoustie at the time Van de Velde collapsed. Most brutal thing I have ever seen. The grandstands were up and without having anybody to find your golf balls just off the fairway, made for a long day. Played it again 2 years ago. Still tough, but not as bad. These guys will be happy to see these conditions.

Not distance but driving accuracy. He's been doing well around the greens

doing so well ON the green(where it pays most) that he switched putters?

i'm a HUGE Elrick fan but putter is the only thing missing. DRY rough isn't nearly as bad as Green/Wet. Plus his stinger with driving iron has be beyond consistent, he can hit it all day at Carnoustie.

I just hope he can putt, if he can, he'll be in the mix. If he has 30+ putts, he'll MC

over/under line on winning 72 hole score is -12.5.

If I was a betting man, I'd take the under and hope the winds don't blow.

This is not the normal Carnoustie we are going to see.

Most definitely no. The highs this week out there are mid 60s, with lowsnin the low 50s.

I'm sure Phil has a gay rain suit lined up for every day.

Not a chance. I think they are presently running around 9 on the stimp. The R&A will try to harden them up, but they won't get them a lot faster. They don't want the pros whining too much, I reckon. Funny looking to see brown fairways merging into green greens.

btw, the fairways are running 9.5 on the stimp.

Shinnecock got drenched yesterday.

The weather is different in Scotland.

Its going to be 89 and clear.
Hot and clear all week.

Unless they can water the course its going get harder.

His putting improved greatly over each round at the Quicken Loans. He just needs to not be over par after day one.

What does everyone think the winning score will be? Don’t know if I’m up for par/bogey fest after Shinnecock
