These were fun stages and it’s impossible to really gauge the main protagonist fitness from this alone. This tour will not be decided on 7 minute climbs. TT’s and 40 minute climbs at altitude will tell the story.

Watching the replay right now, I'm about 30K to go and Pog went to the front to get a water bottle and everyone (well at-least the commentators) lost their minds, they thought he was attacking.

edit: Pog has the yellow on day two, that is surprising. Will he lose it, even if he wins the tour? Will be fun to watch IMO.

If he wants to give it up stage 4 would be a good candidate

I'm pretty sure Jonas reacted too.

Jonas was on his wheel immediately

We probably see a break not get chased back on stage 4 ala Ben O’Connor a few years ago when he was in yellow I believe then finished 4th

I am pulling for Tadej, but have come to the realization that Tadej is Jan Ullrich and Jonas is Lance. Tadej will not sniff another tour while Jonas remains eligible to race.

Jonas has absolutely zero personality.

Agree. He reminds me of a humanoid. Part human, part lab creation.

Jonas has personality I think. And he's pretty grounded in family stuff, which is good to see. He and some other riders seem to constantly be with family.

I'm not sure what to think of Roglic. I thought he'd be in the same group with Pogacar, but he is 21 seconds down, while Pogacar, Jonas, Remco, and Carapaz are all at the same time, with Pogacar in yellow.

I may have been completely wrong about this TDF though - I thought Jonas would pack it in and shoot for La Vuelta, even if that meant bringing family with him the whole time, especially when announced that Kuss wouldn't be there. But, with the short bursts we've seen thus far, it seems Jonas is doing fine.

Is Peacock not carrying the World Feed this year? Or am I forgetting how to navigate on their app to it?

World feed is gone this year. I have resorted to VPN and FloSports

Tiz Cycling works pretty well. Toward the end of stages, you may lose connection and have to refresh. The guy is pretty quick to get the stream back up though.
Only use the main stream though, the others can be problematic.

Great sprint by Bini. Was in perfect position.

Cav and Jakobsen may need some serious help to make the cut tomorrow before getting some sprint stages.

unless there's a pity sprint, cav won't win anything this year.

sad. he should have stayed retired.

For a second it did look like Pederson was going to shut the door on him. Mads probably could have moved toward the barrier more and not gotten relegated.

so Pog loses the yellow on a sprint stage, with the top 4 being same time it makes sense.
