quote:No one has finished a round under par today. There are probably 35 or more guys at +3 to +7 who are just starting Round 2. 80% of those guys probably end up +7 or worse.
Right now there are 76 players at +5 or better.
+6 is the most likely number, but +7 is possible.

Lots of players still out there though. Who knows how many will fall apart before the cut.

The cut is the top 60 and ties, not 70 like a tour event.

I think you're right. I had a senior moment and forgot half the field was just starting their 2nd round. I can see it moving to +6. Right now there are 87 players at +6 or better. I wouldn't rule +7 out, just doubtful IMO.

Classic Phil birdie chance. Rough, bunker, miracle shot.

Tiger and Rory were the first in at +3 so if an even number of golfers finish at +2 or better they will be paired again tomorrow.
If the scoring avg. stays around 74-75 then they would be going off pretty late.

Not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread or not, but Billy Horschel went 18/18 in GIR today.

He' only 5 off the lead right now. no way he withdraws.
I'm getting to the course early tomorrow to hit some wedges and my newly shafted rescue.
