The banks were created for a reason---every policy we have was created for a reason. there was already a time when we had the wild west of money and clearly, the ppl didn't like it so they worked to create these systems around it.
Which is why western people have the hardest time with crypto. We got it easy.
Now imagine not needing a bank or corrupt fiat in Africa.
BTC is borderless. It works everywhere. Banking? Not so much.

If the goal for crypto is to become the default currency, how can that happen if the common man doesn't trust it? How can the common man trust it without regulation and policy?
Is BTC more common or less in the past 10 years?
Also, it’s trust-less. Do you know what that means?

Crypto is capitalisms wet dream in reality. It’s open source free market.
Odd for the pushback.

every crypto thread the people “against” it use the most absurd examples and only talk about shite coins. Like shite pump and dump stocks don’t “also” exist. Like somehow crypto was the birth of financial scams.
Okay so you didn’t address the question I posed about what coin you prefer?
If you sold your house today, what coin would you accept?

Like I said. You guys focus on shitcoins. Posted by JayDeerTay84
So you're focusing on the Shitefiat? and not the overwhelming majority that is not corrupt?
Interesting

Focusing? No.
Just using extreme examples from your extreme questioning.

At some point people need to agree to disagree and revisit this a decade from now to see what has changed

Bitcoin will be so valuable that owning one will be a status symbol. The usual suspects will be on here to dunk after Bitcoin dips below $1 million.

Only if it is actually used for currency on a much wider scale.
Now it’s more of a trading item . without an underlying use to bring it value, it will be subject to wild swings in value.

I actually agree with you but seeing the blind optimism about this stuff from people that really don’t know what they’re getting into is the frustrating part.
The fact that we see large fluctuations in these currencies out to lead people to look under the hood to question what is going on. Instead what I’ve seen here and elsewhere is the opposite. No questioning and blind faith that somehow it all makes sense and those of us not invested are the dummies.

Do you even follow stocks? There have been wild swings galore for Fortune 500 companies. Target recently fell 25% in one day. Most growth stocks are down 50+% in a few months.
I sure hope you are trolling.

Even Doge coin (one of the most crap coins) has an underlying use. I explained Ethereum to you. Are you trolling or just a moron?

Dude, you're literally arguing with someone who thinks Ethereum has no underlying use. You've already won the argument.

So true. It took me a while to figure out that he is trolling. No one is that stupid.

A high beta is typically a bad sign for any investment. Crypto has a higher beta than I've ever experienced.

when the beta on any investment starts getting too high it's typically a bad sign.
