We did ours through Red River and had a great experience. Got a sub 3% on a 30/year back in April.

I used the poster ellesssuuu here. He works for a company in BR. I don't want to give out his name, I'm sure he will chime in if he sees this. He's a good dude and the process was fast and efficent.

Whoever gives you the best rate. Unless its a major company that specializes in loan servicing, your originator will probably sell it.

I had pennymac, refi'd with CFBank, and then they sold it back to pennymac

I got my letter from Pennymac confirming that my old loan was paid off and a letter with my new account details on the same day

eta: I literally just went to bankrate.com, filled in my info for the refis and picked someone off the list.

Last week I had input my info on I believe Rocket Mortgage’s website. Since then I’ve been inundated with texts and phone calls about refinancing. To be honest it’s kinda overwhelming and confusing to which one is I should chose. I don’t feel I can trust random calls and text, but I sure I’m just overthinking this. Just curious if I should look online or is there is something local I can talk to.

I did mine in March (yeah I know I was a little early). Got a 20 yr at 3.125 down from a 30 yr at 4.5.

Knocked 2 years off my mortgage and lowered note $70/month.

Now putting about $250 more per month towards principal.

I used Red River and had a good experience. Loan was sold to PennyMac.

That is rough - sometimes it helps to stay local or with a loan officer who you can call directly and give you rates and quick service.

there is a mortgage rates thread with a couple of local people listed who have helped out board memebers since the rates fell.
