Here is some interesting news that came out earlier this morning.

Here is from the article:

quote:

NEW YORK, June 24, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Ideanomics (NASDAQ: IDEX) ("Ideanomics" or the "Company") is pleased to announce it has entered into a series of agreements with the Town of West Hartford over its 58-acre property which it had acquired in October 2018 to develop as a fintech village technology park.

The two parties entered into a series of agreements which include extending the ball field leases in exchange for the town assuming the landscaping of the 58-acre site. Additionally, the town of West Hartford has secured a right of first refusal to purchase the property and will conduct due diligence to explore the viability of purchasing the site to bring it under the town's control.

"The Town of West Hartford has been supportive of the Fintech Village plans throughout the acquisition and remediation phases of the project, so we are pleased to be able to enter into these agreements which enables the town find a path to securing the athletic and baseball fields on the site which are an important part of the community," said Alf Poor, CEO of Ideanomics. "I am pleased for the Mayor, the Township Manager, and their staff who work tirelessly for the best interests of their community. As we adjust our business to focus more on the opportunities in the electric vehicle sector, we wanted to find a partner who would continue to develop the property in a manner that enriches the town of West Hartford. We look forward to working with them on the possibility of their acquiring the property, as they would be excellent custodians of the site."

I dumped at around $2.67 this morning and then bought back in at $2.39. Hopefully she starts shooting back up the ladder.

Let's see it hold hopefully. To the other posters that set their stop losses, I can't blame you. It is a lot easier for the guys that still have positive gains to hold a stock when it is dropping this fast...

I'm in full on buy mode as I got in late, so I'm happy to add on dips.

We just need it to hold 2.60 today. It is critical.

They're trying to divest the Fintech Village. They said so in their 10-k report as they listed it as a non-core asset.

The CEO even added more context to the article today in his tweet: LINK

So in other words they are trying to gain some additional capital on land they have no use for?

Bingo. Not part of their long term EV plan + the cost of remediation kept going up.

Good lord, reading through the comments to the CEO's twitter post today... how old is the average investor of IDEX? 18 years old? LOL. I say this in jest but it goes to show you how volatile this stock can and will be given it seems like a high focus of inexperienced investors.

I just read his twitter to see what he is saying. I stay away from the stocktwits/investorhub message boards because they are such a shitshow and it is very rare you find information of value.

StockTwits is a cesspool. But I always find myself on it at some point during the day because its had a few times where I come across a homerun of a tip that gets me like 200-300% gains lol. But 99% of it is straight garbage.

Slowly gaining some momentum this afternoon. Volume is still extremely heavy. I think this stock has a lot of individual investor focus right now causing some of the quick up / down swings.

I was wallowing in sadness yesterday watching IDEX continue drooping.. then some random guy says "Get into SHIP NOW!"

Threw a little bit at it and it's up 30% since he said that

Yeah, those are few and far between. But, it is a guilty pleasure of mine to visit it a few times a day. Word of advice for anyone who takes information from there is to always verify it yourself.

What I think is causing a lot of the drops is the amount of stop losses we are seeing at 2.75, 2.50, etc...

It looks to be rebounding nicely once it drops below those levels.

I think we need to see some healthy consolidation before we can make that next jump up.
