IMO this has to be the most "telegraphed" downturn in my lifetime. Everyone believes the market is headed down. That makes me skeptical.

However, just to be sure I went ahead with a couple 380/360 put spreads for both March and April of 2023 on SPY. Will see how this plays out.

Everyone knows the deal. Last week saw major outflows and ended with a sharp selloff on Friday.

Highly volatile week with CPI and FOMC. VIX looking alive.

For CPI, Cleveland Fed forecasts for November are higher than consensus estimates.

Annnnnnnd drum roll, 7.1% less than Expected.

Gotta think we get a little turd of a Xmas rally now depending on how Jerome talks tomorrow and if he wants to let that happen.

Are we headed down again? Market needed a breather.

Going down again. All the signs were there of a downturn

Bulls better get back above 390 and hold quickly or we going to close that gap to 375 fast

In reference to TLT calls on 12/7: I think most of the money on those calls has been made, but good luck.

Looking like you nailed both of these calls, you posted about the tlt calls right at the actual peak
I was up 80% on my calls when you posted that. Ended up selling half of the calls I had at the end of the day just before powell's speech same day as Nov CPI for 60% a few days later, and then I sold some more at a loss in the last week. Hogs get slaughtered. Still holding a handful of Jan '24 calls of various different strikes from 112 to 120. Think I'll just sit on em, not much weight anymore.

Maybe long yields haven't peaked.
