. Texas has an insane number of uninsured drivers.

Certainly has NOTHING to do with the number of illegals now does it?

A bit cheaper! What city are you moving to? We switched from Progressive to Geico and our monthly payment is less than half.

That's my part of the woods. You should expect a decent drop in cost.

Yeah, is it expensive to live there? Water/electricity/basic things? I know real estate is crazy there compared to other close areas

I live in Frisco in our retirement home. It is 1650 square feet. My average monthly electric and gas bill for the last 12 months was $101. The lowest was $78 in April / May. The highest was $133 in July / August. The city collects for water, sewage and drainage. The average for the last 12 months was $80. The high was $165 for July / August and the lowest was $60 for March / April.

My car insurance for a 2014 Camry and a 2013 CRV costs me $319 per month. I have $300,000/2500/300,000 along with collision.

If you buy a house in Frisco you will live in either Collin county or Denton county. Both have assessor's websites that are fairly easy to use. They will show you assessed value and the amount of the tax. You can look at property taxes online or contact a real estate agent who can help you out.

I hope you find this information helpful and let me know if you have anymore.

I pay around $125 a month for my 2017 Chevy Colorado. Had one accident earlier this year, but Geico gave me some good discounts for being a loyal customer.

I understand the non-insured rates in LA are high, but my rate in Ohio, full coverage, SUV and Corolla, is $300 for 6 months. All that being said, I can't wait for retirement and spend October to May back home.
