I travel a ton for work and end up racking up a ton of airline and hotel points. If you fly southwest and have their credit card, you can turn your points into gift cards...10k points =$100. I fly often enough that I'm in their top tier, so I get double the points on each flight. On average, I end up getting 9k points each roundtrip. After a while I cash those points out for gift cards, then I sell those gift cards at a place likd cardpool.com. Typically, they'll pay 90% of the value, so for $1000 in Walmart gift cards, I get about $900 in cash.

Right now I'm sitting on about 500,000 southwest points. Last year I generated about $3k cash by flipping points into cards and cards into cash.
