Saw this in another thread. Seems like a decent company. i know its basically a penny stock right now, but does it have any long term potential? They have a few Projects which in the future could be Big time. Also LPG will likely play a large part in the overall future of fuel/Energy. Kinda looks like they are down right now just because of the overall economy/oil industry.

It's a lotto play... I'd say 75% chance no deal happens and they go bankrupt. 25% chance a deal happens with a big player like Petronet and they get to FID and you're looking at $5-10/share. So.... 75% odds * 0 plus 25% odds * $7.5/share = expected value of ~$1.88/share, compared to ~$1/share today.

I've played this stock for several years. Bought on dips and made a little money. Last dip didn't stop dipping (mid feb, 2020)....

I've been thinking about buying a little at current price and just sitting on it..

I have no advice... hopefully smarter folks like the gentlemen above will chime in...

quote:

Tellurian was founded in 2016 by two industry icons, Charif Souki and Martin Houston. Charif set in motion the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports from the United States Lower 48 and founded Cheniere Energy. Martin originated the concept of LNG destination flexibility, ensuring that LNG became a commodity.

Charif and Martin, together with CEO Meg Gentle, and the Tellurian team own a significant portion of Tellurian, a public company traded as TELL on the Nasdaq and headquartered in Houston, Texas.

Driftwood LNG
Led by Keith Teague, the Tellurian cornerstone project is Driftwood LNG, a proposed ~27.6 mtpa liquefaction export facility that will be located near Lake Charles, Louisiana. Driftwood is shovel ready having secured all necessary permits for construction and operation, and has a $15.5 billion lump-sum turn key engineering, procurement and construction contract with Bechtel that guarantees cost, performance and schedule.

quote:

Tellurian ended its second quarter of 2020 with approximately $88.3 million in cash and cash equivalents and approximately $33.9 million short-term borrowings. Tellurian’s balance sheet consisted of approximately $315.9 million in total assets. Pro forma for the financing transactions completed in July, Tellurian would have ended the quarter with approximately $122.9 million in cash and cash equivalents, approximately $106.1 million in long-term debt, and approximately $350.5 million in assets.

Tellurian reported a net loss of approximately $128.8 million, or $0.53 per share (basic and diluted), for the three months ended June 30, 2020. Results include a one-time non-cash charge of approximately $81.1 million for impairment of the book value of our natural gas properties due to the impact of declining commodity prices.

$10/share puts them at about a $3B market cap... Is there any chance if all goes right that they could reach the same market cap as Cheniere which is $13.5B?

TELL bounced between $5-$10/share through most of 2019... I am wondering if a deal is priced in at those levels or if there is even more upside if it actually happens..

Full disclosure: I really don’t know shite about this company.

If things weren't shite and the nat gas was what it was to some degree it'd be a 5 buck stock especially with their leader.

In this environment good fricking luck. Shale boom hurt this market for now.

Small chance. I have a couple hundred shares when it was dirt and will hold and see like a lottery ticket.

At one point I thought $8 was a good entry.

Lol. That's how far down it's come. I work in this field to a large degree on maint and gas custody as an offshoot and at one point liked it a lot.

Who knows now

Edit: Magnolia lng got as far as to receive their FERC license and still failed (or on hold indefinitely)

Maybe tell can buy out their licenses.

They likely don't have the cash. Saw where Souki is trying to sell his Aspen estate too.

New LNG investment likely delayed 2 years
quote:

Mullins says there have been serious repercussions for several Louisiana projects, most recently Tellurian’s Driftwood LNG near Lake Charles. “We thought Driftwood was going to get closer to an approval this year, because India planned to buy a huge portion of that project,” he says.

Instead, Tellurian is in cost-cutting mode, unveiling plans to cut Driftwood’s Phase 1 by 30% and postponing its proposed Permian Global Access Pipeline, with a capacity of 2 billion cubic feet per day, and Haynesville Global Access Pipeline, with a capacity of 2 billion cubic feet per day.

Tellurian has delayed an FID on the Driftwood facility until 2021, but still hopes that full operations could begin in 2026 or 2027. The LNG facility is expected to produce 27.6 million tons of LNG per year.

Does anyone have any updates on Tellurian?

At their current price of $0.71/share, I'm tempted to pick up a thousand just for the hell of it.

Probably a decent gamble.

I know they started the dirtwork. They are trucking a shitload there currently.

I'm long on TELL; I believe in their leadership and the need for LNG long term in developing countries.

I had 1000 at .90 and took some pocket change when it was up to 1.3 or so to trade it out for Standard Lithium.

It could be a post covid play.

Decent week for TELL. I’ve grabbed a few more shares here and there. I was shocked to see it go above the $1/share mark. Go baby go.
