Any thoughts on other stocks to watch or coins jump on now/ buy and hold? Such as BTSC currently $0.34 thoughts?

I missed the boat on a bunch (bitcoin/ethereum). Espicially on GBTC last year.

Looking to put $2500 on one or spread over a few.

Also, do any of you buy on TDameritrade? I have a TDam account or do you suggest other ways to purchase? Thanks

I'm asking! Ive had a TDA acct for a little while and never bought, been on the sidelines. I watch a few accounts like GBTC, OMGT. Just wondering if this is an avenue to use to buy BITCOIN accts or if the GBTC, OMGT are complete separate from the crypto currencies.

GBTC Bitcoin Investment Trust has gone from $135 January 2017 to $3211 today. Asking if anyone is jumping on similar stock? Also, what avenue do you use to buy Bitcoin and if there are any affordable coins that are coming up. As stated, I'm looking to purchase $2500 worth.

Forgive my ignorance on the matter. Just wondering what are some buys and how you go about purchasing them. not sure if TDA is the avenue to do so.

no worries, i just didnt know if the traditional brokerage accounts allowed cyrpto purchase... yet. im sure they will someday

for now, TDA only allows bitcoin futures trading.

to buy alt coins (besides bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin) most people:

1) make an account on coinbase, deposit their funds
2) transfer those funds to an exchange (binance, bittrex, bitfinex, poloniex, gdax, etc)

this site LINK / lists all of the coins and their marketcaps; if you click on "exchanges", it will show which ones they are trading on

so if you had a coin in mind, you could research it there and then find which exchange(s) you needed to get your money invested into

My buddy knew nothing about crypto, a couple of Fridays ago I talked him into taking the plunge. He gets on CB, sees it's the "cheapest" coin and buys 11 of em around $120 each.

Yea, I'm bitter.

Let me see if I understand. I register with Coinbase, deposite funds into Bitcoin, ETH or Litecoin (buying crypto currency)

Then look on Coin watch on which coins to purchase? such as XRP/KRW , BTC/KRW

Pretty much. I find it easier to just stick with one alt coin place, and I use Binance. You can't get every coin there, but it's plenty diverse for what I need/want.

Waiting to be verified by Coinbase to deposit funds. How has XRP and the others preformed for you?

I understand that. As stated, I have been watching from the sidelines n GBTC, BTSC etc. on TDA. But I was confused on actual avenues to purchase coins, where to gather info etc.

Trying to get in the game, so your info was greatly appreciated.

I'm jumping on IOTA and ripple. There is a little chatter of IOTA possibly going on coin base and ripple being backed by Amazon and uber. Ripple is at .74 and IOTA at $4.29 right now. It's worth a shot bc if any of that happens they may go up big.

Once all this Bitcoin mania dies down the real, comparatively safer, money will be made in Blockchain itself.

I'll probably end up spreading a modest bet across several stocks along the lines of your list there and cross my fingers either their ideas are so good they take off or so disruptive the JP Morgans of the world buy them up.

Binance and Iota Light Wallet are both suspending transactions. I've been stuck trying to cash out for over a week. No response from them other than "Iota is working on issues".
