To be fair, I don’t trust them one bit, hence why I took my USD out.

Smart move because they lied on the page of their site you screenshotted. The fine print in their user agreement is honest:

quote:

Cash in the Account is insured up to $250,000 per depositor by the FDIC in the event the Bank fails if specific insurance deposit requirements are met. FDIC insurance does not protect against the failure of Voyager or any Custodian (as defined below) or malfeasance by any Voyager or Custodian employee. Voyager is not a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (“FINRA”) or the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (“SIPC”), and therefore Cash is not SIPC-protected.

Yeah, but in that same paragraph…

quote:

Voyager maintains an agreement with the Bank whereby the Bank provides all services associated with the movement of and holding of USD in connection with the provision of each Account. Therefore, each Customer is a customer of the Bank. All U.S. regulatory obligations associated with the movement of, and holding of, USD in connection with each Account are the responsibility of the Bank. For purposes of clarity, any services pertaining to the movement of, and holding of, USD are not provided by Voyager or its Affiliates. Cash in the Account is insured up to $250,000 per depositor by the FDIC in the event the Bank fails if specific insurance deposit requirements are met.

Regardless, dealing with getting your money back simply wasn’t worth it should they fail.

Yeah definitely looks that way, but the thought was…

My USD wasn’t going into crypto anytime soon, and my crypto is gambling-type money anyway, so YOLO. Didn’t want my USD stuck there too.

I have a lot on Voyager on USDC that was collecting all that interest. This freaks me the f out. What is crypto wallet transfer? Will need to try this as soon as I can apparently.

Not money I’m ok with losing unfortunately and those assholes blocked all transfers and trades yesterday after paying out interest

Curious what your thought process has been? You've seen all these companies paying interest go insolvent and never thought to move to protect your money?

Hope you get it off I just can't understand.

For the best user experience right now, I suggest using the Loopring wallet. Assuming you can ever get your funds from Voyager, move it to the Loopring wallet.

I simply haven’t. Ive only ever been on Coinbase and Voyager. Have been on voyager for 20 months and until recently I’ve never even heard FUD surrounding Voyager. They are definitely fishy motherfrickers though the way they constantly sent reassuring push notifications and emails and everything that my deposits were FDIC insured and so on and so forth. Never read the fine print, just scammed it sounds like…

And for those who did, you just transfered from your voyager wallet to loopring wallet using withdrawals from Voyager. Of course that shite is halted right now but will just have to live on a prayer that reverses.

To add to that:

Loopring is very centralized as am application, but you still own your own crypto and keys. If you are willing to sacrifice UX for decentralization, then I suggest Rainbow or Status wallets, but they won't get you cheap transactions until you move the funds to a cheaper chain than ETH.

Another note.. NEVER, EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES give your seed phrase or private key out to anyone at all.

Crypto transfer is where you can transfer your crypto to another provider or your wallet. You need to be on ETC-20 supported. Coinbase Pro is supported.

I have a USDC and BTC wallet on coinbase pro. If the day comes where withdrawals open back up should I attempt to send from my voyager address to my coinbase pro wallet address? I think I’m more worried trying to withdraw USD from Voyager knowing that everyone’s transfers are pending and presumably hung up.

Ideally you want stuff out of Coinbase too. I only used Coinbase as intermediary. I transferred USDC to Coinbase and then transferred USD to my bank
