Pretty excited about this. I'm holding a bunch of it. Hope we get a big boost. A few others are splitting as well.

Psychologically, I think Vanguard needed to do this to compete with SCHG and even QQQM. Being that you can only own fractional shares of Vanguard stock by purchasing "in house" I imagine they are seeing a slower growth in new capital at such high share prices to these ETFs vs other growth and tech etfs. Bottom line, anchoring at lower price.

I would think the majority of vanguard investors could not tell you the share price of the majority of their funds. It's basically irrelevant

Would agree, it's irrelevant to current Vanguard clients but may be very relevant to prospects. Same yield, same balance, same holdings for most part...but prospect will go with the one their mind deems "less expenisve" to have more of something.
