Good points and if it weren’t for what I saw down river, I would have waited too but that thing is so friggin massive and costly, I couldn’t imagine any company with a chance of losing a billion dollar case, doing it- and they had won a case against shell so that indicated to me that things must be lining up and I was getting in early.
I still can’t believe that they stand to lose several more big cases and they have another gigantic plant in lake charles and will be expanding down river!
It’s really incredible. Anyone hasn’t seen it, take a drive down there

I met with their execs before anyone had ever even heard the name Venture Global, and to this day they were the most fly-by-night group of shysters I've ever seen at that level of management.
I've consistently been amazed by their ability to deliver on many of the financial and operational promises we were pitched at the company's infancy. A couple of times throughout their history I've been tempted to throw some dollars at VG; I even sold some $12 puts that thankfully expired a few weeks back.
Every time I think about opening a real position on VG I hearken back to my original thought about how slimy their execs were, so VG being complete scumbags about honoring their contracts was one of the less shocking things I've heard. How they got through Shell in arbitration is still a mystery to me, and them only now getting smacked for impropriety seems long overdue.

I read their origin story and found myself waiting for the punchline. A lawyer and a venture capitalist ent enter the bar… the lawyers says, “ever thought about gas”…

I’m from Plaquemines Parish and I’ve seen it. It’s incredible for sure. I just think there’s a lot of bad news on the horizon that will produce better entry points. I like the stock. I just think at the end of all these problems, it might be listed under a different ticker…

This price washout of bad news on top of market washout might make a good long term buy prospect. Based on this decision, you’d expect them to lose the rest of cases. Market can figure that out as well and price it in. If it gets to $7 it’s an easy prospect buy.
There’s so much size and scale to their operations and LNG isn’t going away. A Russian deal will bring down LNG price temporarily, but EU will move away from the Russian gas pipeline soon. They see how fragile that supply is now. LNG is also being adopted in a lot of other places. VG is ahead on their LNG projects compared to others and should be able to capitalize if they can figure out their operations

I don’t know, but I’m confident the core group will get paid either way.
They created a zero-sum establishment. I wouldn’t be surprised if they put the company into chapter 11 just to send a message to judgment holders.
25% of their outstanding shares are shorted. Contrary to popular meme beliefs….there won’t be a squeeze when the insiders hold the other 90% of the organization.

I wouldn’t hope for a squeeze here. You’re hoping that their extreme growth strategy looks like it’s going to fail in the short term, depresses stock price, then wins out in long run

I’d love to see the current holdings of the bankers who brought this public.
They’ve been stuck in damage control trying to unload their shares inconspicuously since $25.

You think they get bought out?

I sold all today.
Made some money but not what I had when it was 19 back in June; Obviously
Some of the posts here helped me pull that trigger.
Thanks

I’m thinking it retests $8. Maybe $7.

"Google, what is the max amount of investment losses you can claim deductions for?"

VG entered $7 territory today. Circling the bowl.

Just wait for earnings next week, and then there’s this gem from Nola.com yesterday…
A first-of-its-kind ruling by a Louisiana judge has interrupted the state's rapid buildout of its LNG industry, raising questions over whether regulators will have to look more closely at the facilities' environmental impacts before granting permits.
The recent decision struck down a key permit for a liquefied natural gas plant over failing to consider the impacts of climate change, effectively halting construction for the multibillion-dollar project in Cameron Parish.
Environmental and community groups applauded the decision as an incremental win in an ongoing fight against the LNG export expansion in Southwest Louisiana, which they stress will damage the coast and emit polluting fossil fuels. State officials, meanwhile, vowed to appeal the ruling and praised the federal government for giving the facility an extension to build.

If you read the article this applies to the commonwealth lng project. Not the ongoing CP2 project for VG.

No…. Have you been down there?

If this thing hits 3.00 watch folks load up.

I was thinking there might be a bounce at 5 (before heading towards 3)
