Usuaully around he holidays the coupon deals slow down because they run good deals on everything else, but you can still get some pretty good deals.. A GREAT deal just ended on the 2nd for razors at Kmart, but Ill keep my eyes open and post something if I see it

It went like this:

If you purchase 30.00 worth of PG products, you get back a 10.00 coupon. The 30.00 is BEFORE coupons and discounts.

So you would do something like this:

Buy 4 packs of mach 3 disposables:

7.99 x 4 = 31.96

Use these coupons:

2 BOGO (buy one get one free- up to 11.99) coupons- that would deduct -7.99 x 2 = -15.98

Now since those coupons only attach to 1 item each, you can also use a $5/2 disposable razor coupon and deduct another 5.00 from that

so 31.96 - 15.98 - 5.00 = 10.98

So you would pay 10.98+ tax out of pocket, get 4 packs of mach 3 disposable razors, and get a 10.00 coupon to use for your next transaction. The trick is doing multiple transactions!

Of course, to start you are going to have to come out of pocket a little bit, but if you work their deals and roll your coupons, then you continue to pay very little or nothing out of pocket.

Sometimes they will allow you to use that coupon right away and "roll" it into another transaction, but sometimes u have to wait until the next week. So I would do that transaction 3 times, and then come sunday when its a new week, you use that coupon for your total and pay less out of pocket.

Do the same thing with the razors.. buy 4 at 31.96 minus your coupons is 10.98.. Now you use the 10.00 coupon and you pay .98 cents out of pocket and get back another coupon. So here you are "making 9.xx"

Kmart ran this deal for a month, it was amazing!!!

My wife does a 2 week menu. It works wonderful. We have a 3 year old and spend about $500-$600/month and we eat well.

We bulk shop at Sam's (about $200 a month) and get meat from a local butcher ($125-$150 usually) and freeze it with a Foodsaver. Get one.

We shop the sales at Kroger and get fresh produce/veggies and a couple of specialty items at Fresh Market, and my wife uses some apps for coupons. There's an app called Ziplist that we use as well. She puts something in her phone and it shows up on mine. After you go to a grocery store 3-4 times, it "learns" what order the things are and speeds up your shopping, so you don't find stuff you don't need.

It was a huge problem for us for a long time. We easily would spend $1000/just the two of us.

The extreme coupon people amaze me. I wish I could pull that off. We could probably knock another $100 off if we used coupons right.

oh u would knock off a LOT more than that! Its kinda a headache to learn all the rules of each store, and remember to get the papers, or download the coupons online... You really have to stay on top of it! But it can save you a LOT of money!

When I find deals like the papertowel deal above, and its a rock bottom price, I stockup for enough for the year. SO I may spend 25 bucks on toiletpaper, papertowel or whatever it is, but I have enough for a year+

The papertowel stockpile above will last me atleast 2 years, If I don't barter half of it away. (I figure a 6pack a month is enough for us)
