OP called for an Apple slide, not a market wide blood bath. It's like a guy predicting someone is going to get sick and taking credit when it happens during a pandemic.

AAPL has dropped 16.4% since the OP

SP500 has dropped 5.7%

Pretty sure there's more to this

I wouldn't read too much into it. For the past 12 months, AAPL has significantly outperformed the S&P500. In the long term (2 to 10 years), AAPL has been a better investment than S&P.

And of that 5.7% a large portion is attributable to the fall in AAPL.

No. One month ago, the market was up 4% and apple was down 4%.

My call was correct before the market had it's slide.

AAPL just crossed the ticker at 98. If it stays there at the opening, we'll need to add significantly to our position.

Someone dumped a bunch on River Cross. Well below premarket. Someone scared, or overexposed. Or needs to sell to buy back foreign bonds. A chuck. No indication on premarket volume, so darker than dark. Over 1MM shares.

$94.85 now.

Apple is down over 25% since my call. Broader market is down about half of that.

I still hold AAPL. Cost basis was lowered today. FIFO, or something like that. AAPL is a real company. FB isn't in my opinion.

Agreed.

Think the people who will really get smoked in the end of all this will be the Twitter, Facebook, etc. shareholders.

Yes, they're done. And they've been done for quite some time. The leaders of the NASDAQ run up have never really made money. At some point you need to make money and stop playing games with buy backs etc.
