Actually with silver you'd be hard-pressed to lose it all like GME. It's a legit commodity and even AG is a legit company.

At worst you'd lose a little if it crashed back to "normal" prices, unless you bought options

Eta: in other words, we're either to the moon or prob around last weeks prices

Silver spot is currently at $27.10 /oz and 10 % moves up or down are not uncommon.

I predict silver spot will hit $25 before it hits $35 ... but I do see it hitting $35-$40./oz by this time next year .....

For AG, what would this mean? Just trying to figure out how “all in” I should be. I understand they are a mining company right?

I’m willing to risk on a big gamble. Was looking at dogecoin but may go this route

These are 2 different stratospheres.

If you want to risk it all and go for moon or broke have fun with DOGE.

You won't get near the same risk or reward with AG or silver unless you're buying options.

I don't disagree with that, however moving tons of silver around is not practical. A few bars is one thing. I think most people would benefit from a mix. Being able to push a button to lock a sell price while you move that physical is key.

SLV Trust NAV went up 8.77% yesterday.

I did a back of the napkin calculation that means they added 36,887,400 ounces of silver yesterday to the trust.

To give you a comparison here:

Registered ounces in comex 149,509,868 ounces
Available to register 248,421,412 oz

397,931,280 total ounce backing

ishares Slv

This is getting interesting....

Nice find.

It was stunning when he broke down numbers saying that only 1 million people buying $5000 a piece would clean out the market.

It’s hard to even find physical silver right now. Tried to get some 1 and 5 oz rounds earlier and everything is back ordered. Monster boxes are even back ordered.

I am a total newb on the precious metals market, so someone help me out here. If Kitco and apmex are both sold out of the American Silver Eagles... and other online silver places have them but being sold at $8 over spot, what the possibility demand spreads to bars and rounds and puts stress on this market?

It just seems like there's a huge disconnect between paper silver sold and the actual commodity price.

I am no expert either, but I believe this is a large reason why there is such potential here.

I've read estimates that paper silver is roughly 400 times that of actual physical silver. Meaning if everyone who owned paper silver actually demanded physical delivery, physical supply would dry up in an instant and the price would skyrocket.

There are more knowledgeable folks in this thread who could probably explain it more in depth, but that's my cloud level understanding.
