Government money going to NGOs isn't my personal information.
Government contracts and money paid to corporations should be public record. DOGE shouldn't even be needed.

The government and other already have my personal information. I pay taxes, FB, Google, my banks, brokerage firms, etc. Musk is an advisor to Trump. Can’t very well do his job without the data. Someone has to have access to prevent fraud, tax cheats, and waste.
It all boils down to MSM propaganda and TDS. That’s it. Nothing more. If it was under anyone else’s administration there wouldn’t be anywhere near the sky screaming.

Not at all. Some of the things cut so far, I’m all for. Like all of the DEI spending built in to government agencies, good riddance.
However there is a right and wrong way to cut spending and it is outlined by the constitution. We are not a country of kings with unilateral power. I’m surprised the party of hardcore 2A folks would be okay with the executive branch ignoring the constitution.
Anyway, I’ve been complicit in derailing this thread so I’m bowing out. The reason Tesla is trending down is because 1) it’s a hype stock and Elon can make a promise that’s 10 years down the road to boost it and 2) China makes more and better EV’s. Tesla will slowly lose market share. I know Tesla isn’t just a car company, but nothing else they do impacts the financials near as much.

Is the stock trending down or is it just a healthy pull back before it’s off to the races again!?? But you’re so wrong on all of it.

I disagree and I'm surprised more conservatives aren't speaking out on this. I guess because it's Trump, it's ok.
You're ok with this kid being on the staff that Musk has with highly sensitive data?
LINK
Edward Coristine, a 19-year-old member of Elon Musk’s DOGE, was fired from his previous job at a cybersecurity company for leaking company secrets, according to a new report from Bloomberg News. Coristine was an intern at Arizona-based Path Network in 2022 when he was fired for allegedly sharing information about the company with a competing company.
“Edward has been terminated for leaking internal information to the competitors,” a message from June 2022 about the termination seen by Bloomberg News reads. “This is unacceptable and there is zero tolerance for this.”
A couple things:
Any audit I've ever been a part of in my career doesn't start with trying to fire everyone at the company/division. You go in and you audit and find the waste, then you strategically cut it out. You don't set a house on fire because you have leaky pipes.
Whether you want to believe it or not, the vast majority of Americans, regardless of left, right, middle are on board with cutting out waste. But anyone that's ever worked in the business world and been part of an auditing process knows this is not how you do it. There's so much collateral damage being done because of the way this is being managed.
Another reason for major concern should be that doge is now under the Presidential Records act, which means it's immune from any FOIA requests through 2034. Why? If this whole thing is so transparent, why would that be deemed necessary by this administration?

Government contracts and money paid to corporations should be public record.
This I absolutely agree with, but to say this is about transparency and accountability and then move it away from the public having the ability to request information about it is highly suspect.

Fair Sharing of Highways and Roads for Electric Vehicles (Fair SHARE) Act, aims to have EV owners contribute funds to the Highway Trust Fund (HTF) that provides for maintenance of bridges and roads via a one-time $1000 tax on EV purchases. Currently, EVs do not contribute to the HTF, as they do not pay the federal gasoline tax, which supports the program.
Car and driver source

All this is going to do is cement Tesla as pretty much the go-to EV in the US. The other manufacturers can’t even compete now with a tax credit.
Just wait till unassisted full self driving debuts. Every car manufacturer is going to have to license it from Tesla. Once it’s normalized people won’t buy a car unless it has it. A major shift is coming. Like going from a flip phone to a iPhone.
It’s going to be a must have for younger drivers who will then make it mainstream as they get older. Look how many people are on their phones while driving. You’re telling me they won’t pay to be on it the entire tome without distraction while doing errands, going to work, etc?

Like Elon has said a car without unsupervised full self driving will be like riding a horse eventually.

If Chinese cars are better, then why is the Tesla model Y the most sold car in China and the world? You are repeating propaganda, you should do more research.

Nobody said they are better, but they are cheaper.

How dare you bring facts.

He did say they were better. BYD has like 28 different models or something, where Tesla has 5. Many of their cars are hybrids. Yes, they are cheaper but I never said they weren't. Lol, maybe you should research a little more. Like why are model Y sales down year to date? Could it be because of the model Y refresh? Let's see.....If they are switching over in the factory for the model y refresh there might be less available model Ys to buy and people waiting for the new models might be less likely to buy the old model ??.

Sorry I wasn't more clear. I was responding to a post earlier that said china evs were better. The Tesla model Y is the best selling ev in China.

People on here have been very wrong on Tesla before makes want to load up on Tuesday
Also, I’m not buying or driving a Chinese made car. Ever. Will probably make a Daewoo seem well built if people remember those.
