Had a conversation with my brother a few weeks ago when we were discussing stocks, and it lead to me looking at how the market ended Friday for the past 8 weeks or so. What I found was that in 7 of the 8 weeks (and every week since) the market has been down, sometimes significantly at end of day Friday (just looking at up or down vs Thursday).
I know this is an oversimplification, but someone who was just buying Friday afternoon and selling Wednesday or Thursday afternoon every week would be rolling in it.
Not sure if there are any market masters who can confirm or deny my theory, but that's what it looks like.

It mostly likely because of the weekend and chance for bad news to hit Friday afternoon to Monday morning...aka a lot of unknowns. That would be my guess

That's what I was thinking too, people hedging against bad news coming out over the weekend. But patterns in the market are nice opportunities to make money...so long as they hold.
If I get bored (real bored), I'll do a more in depth analysis.

I just picked up a bunch of TUES at .50
It just had a big bounce to .80 a few days ago and I don't see why it won't happen again.

Haven't SPY calls hit just about every Friday for the last month or so with today being the exception?
