Amerisafe (AMSF) - DeRidder, LA specialty worker's compensation insurer. I knew their underwriting process was sound through working with them as a broker, investigated their share price and was blown away at the growth & profitability.

25%+ operating margin in what is typically at best a single-digit margin business that lags the total market (P&C insurance).

Dividends increased at least 20% per year and declaration of significant special dividends. I think they'll be an acquisition target of an insurer in the next few years, as the entire sector is historically overvalued right now and M&A is big going forward.

Let me know if anyone else follows this company.

I hold ETE and KMI as well. I'm glad that KMI is getting serious about reducing their debt.

Slightly off topic. I've always been pretty active in my investments. I getting less that way all the time. I have cash on the sidelines waiting for a correction. Maybe 35% cash right now. I know it's been debated on here ad nauseam, but what is a decent index tracking fund that pays dividends to buy strategically and forget?

I'm as interested in growth as in dividends, but I'd want the ETF to pay dividends or I would think it really wouldn't be worth it when I could just buy individual stocks are replicated the fund.

I've been thinking IWV.

I have some pff.

Its a preferred stock etf, pays monthly. Yeild around 5%. It's fallen a little bit lately due to what I'm assuming is an impending rate hike being priced it.

GAIN and PSEC pay a 10% annual dividend. Those companies are cash cows.

One Dividend I've been keeping an eye on Aflac- AF. Just bought some more shares today. With 70% of revenue now coming from Japan you have to keep an eye on yen-dollar value as it will affect the financials. Low payout ratio with low P/E and a solid 2.5% yield.

disclosure- I own that shite
