I'm debating on leaving my job as an engineer to take over an established agency of a retiring relative. A lot has to happen between now and then, but just wanted to find out as much info as possible before moving forward. Looking forward to a new challenge.

If you know what you are looking for and take the time to read the contract so you know exactly what you are getting, yes.
Not saying that's a bad thing, it just isn't for everyone.

Just remember a lot of industries/professions are changing because of the web. Disclaimer: Not familiar with insurance business at all.
