I’ve posted on here before when my son got started in his lawn business. He’s started doing other odds/ends as well, is constantly busy and has done really well.

We were advised to get him set up with an LLC (Louisiana) and single person insurance so he can branch out for commercial property jobs. Establishing an LLC isn’t a big expense, but how would we go about looking for insurance for him, and maybe one other since he pulls in help for larger jobs?

We want to evaluate if the cost of insurance would pay for itself or not. He’s about to start his senior year, and he isn’t sure if he’ll keep this going after he graduates (but he might).

Should be simple.

Go to next or call a broker.
To be fully covered, though, I’d have him stick
To lawns and not be a jack of all trades.
