Sprott Asset Management Enters Into Agreement With Uranium Participation Corporation to Form the Sprott Physical Uranium Trust
I know some of us are into commodities like Uranium so this is recent big news regarding the spot market and likely to create waves.
I'm interesting to see what this does. How is everyone feeling about their uranium plays right now. I'm in UUUU and still not sure how this will affect it.

It may start to affect the larger Uranium market in July or August. There have already been several companies buying up spot market Uranium (for speculation or to more cheaply fill their contracts) in the last 12 months.
The market is expected to get tighter and tighter as more reactors restart, old contracts expire, and the spot market and carry contracts no longer have Uranium cheaply available.
Barring a meltdown somewhere that puts a stop to many reactors there should be growth in producer stock values. There are a very limited number of producers though. The exploration and development companies may not pan out but buying into a fund like URA or URNM seems like a very decent option.

Started this thread a few month back before the sprott announcement. I think Uranium stocks are the best opportunity on the market right now to make big gains. The Sprott announcement is huge and is something I didn't even count on when investing in Uranium. It's almost a sure thing that spot will hit $40-$50 by EOY due to this. I think over the next 1-2 years we'll see uranium stocks 10x-20x from where they are currently.
UUUU is a great U.S. play. There's several other good plays out there that I mention in the thread above.

From what I understand this is a huge deal. A uranium buying feedback loop will begin in the not too distant future and the spot price will reflect that over the following years.
For those interested, some good twitter follows out there are Uranium Insider, John Quakes, and Kevin Bambrough (there are quite a few more out there). Here's a LINK to a thread by Kevin that sheds a little light if you want to get excited.

Yep I searched and saw your thread and it gave me the confidence to bring this topic up. I knew there were others interested so I wanted to see what everyone thought about this news.
I’m pretty new into uranium so I’m trying to do some catch up

Sprott is going to just accelerate the upward price move in the market. I was looking at uranium as a 3-5 year move but sprott entering the game moves that timeline up. Also If I understand correctly their share price should track spot price making them an index price for uranium which doesn’t have a spot price unlike most commodities.
I hold DNN, URG, UUUU, LTBR, NXE and also own a ton of sprott PSLV so I’ll be buying their uranium fund as soon as I can.

Great chocies! If you're interested look into Standard Uranium (STTDF), Internation Consolidated (LBHRF), and Goviex (GVXXF). These 3 come with more risk, but in a crazy bull market they're the ones that could potentially see 25x.
Since Sprott made their announcement I've moved my portfolio to almost 100% uranium and I feel great about it. I don't think this is "if", it's when and to my knowledge is the greatest opportunity at creating wealth in the market at this time.

Standard and Cameco are the other 2 I’m trying to add, just trying to find a good price to buy in at. There aren’t many sure things in the market right now but uranium going up is one of them as long as we don’t have reactor meltdown or something crazy.

I wish Schwab would let me buy Standard... Is there much upside in owning URPTF currently?

Why won't Schwab let you? Shows up for orders here.

I guess I need to just call them

Try calling. I had too with Fidelity if you're trying to put in a large order.
You probably already know, but make sure to set limit orders when buying the OTC's.

From my understanding, you would stand to gain from owning it before they convert it over to the Trust. Basically getting in now is better than when everyone jumps in after Sprott starts marketing it.
