I read on Reddit that it’s basically 100% chance the manufacturing plant is going to be Belleville TX , they just listed a job posting for the plant manager.
Also the poster noted they only acetylene distributor is western gas and cylinder
Further Hydrograph is listed on the city’s chamber of commerce
Pretty cool. And could be boom for a small community
Think they’re population is less than 5000

I added this at different times in a brokerage account. Is there a way to sell the later-bought higher-priced lots only? How are short term capital gains taxes figured on partial-sell actions?

A simple announcement of those things could stabilize the stock. What are we doing right now?

On your trade page, you should have the option to sell First In, First Out OR Last In, First out.

I’m not sure it could be a myriad of reasona or as others posted…. waiting for the huge meeting next week to give official updates on all the major items

What’s a sell strategy to not lose out while keeping skin in the game?
If I look at all of my lots, I have three that are down and 9 that are up. Of course those last three drove up my average to $3.17, so I’m still up 40%.
What is a sell strategy to protect my initial investment while keeping skin in the game, besides waiting for it all to basically level out at 0% gain and sell everything? And if I did sell it all at that point, there are no taxes to be paid correct?
Long term holder here, so exploring the possibilities.

It's frustrating, but they're seeing their portfolios yo-yo way more than ours.
I'm still convincing myself that we're in good shape for the next month or 3.
After that?? Who knows?

This may or may not be the right answer but all I do, if I have no long term gains, I sell the newest shares whether a loss or gain, to save the older stuff to one day have them convert to Long Term versus Short Term.

FWIW - my shares went back out on loan this morning.

I think they’re waiting to do the AGM meeting first.
When this stock was getting a nice bump after EPA, people in were praising management and leadership. Now that the stock is dropping a bit, some are questioning them. I say be patience and let them do their thing because they’ve taken us this far. No need to panic yet.

Fidelity has an option to choose which shares you sell.

That's what I'm seeing, as well.
If they announce gas contract, breaking ground, HQ grand opening, Army collaboration, NASDAQ listing status, and maybe a contract or two, this could be a huge day.

quote:I get that and appreciate this is a very volatile pre-rev stock. So I’m not fretting over daily moves…BUT…this is an extremely important window in time and if we drop below $4 and lose the NASDAQ uplisting, that will be a big problem.

So my impatience for announcements is related to that. If we can uplist successfully, I promise to complain much less

One strategy is to buy more than you want and then sell it later to recoup your investments. Buy at X and sell half of it at 2X, so you're essentially using house money. Of course, you might want to sell at 3X, in order to have enough money to pay capital gains. That works if you get to 2X, which isn't necessarily a given. In your case, 2X is $6.34, and I feel good about reaching that at some point.
One thing I plan to do is to take profits a little bit at a time as it goes up. Especially after it spikes due to good news. If there is a pullback, you can buy back a few of those shares. That will cost you some in taxes, but it will give you some flexibility if you want to move your money around a bit after that.
I'm going to wait to see if this thing goes up to $20ish before I start taking profits. I think this think is going to hit a peak and then hang around for a while, and maybe go down until they start announcing BIG contracts (if that ever happens).
