Same. This does seem to be cyclical in that towards the end of the year prices seem to drop then ramp up after Q1 again.

My CAT stock today

Good thing I've owned it for years so I'm still well in the black.

My price trigger alert when off on that today. Normally, I would sell something else to grab a few shares at a good price but nothing is around a sell price for me after these last 2 weeks.

I'm in at around $79 per share so I'm not too worried about it. It pays almost a 3% dividend too so I'll just hold on to it.

Yeah, I’m red on LCRX, too. It’s still solid and I don’t HAVE to sell right now, but this downturn has me thinking I may need to cut losses and move on.

I am 33. Ive been investing since I was 13 after reading a biography on warrant buffet.

Currently have 100k in stocks and another 150k cash on the sidelines waiting to buy.

And the funny thing is Ive spoken to a lot of folks that are in the same boat.

.....if not now, when exactly are you waiting for?

I haven’t been following the latest dip too closely, stocks just aren’t really my cup of tea, but if there are two bits of advice I’ve seen preached they are:

1. If you have time use it. You’re 33. Put that money in the market and let it multiply.

And

2. Buy the dips. This should be as good an entry point as any. Of course some stocks are more overvalued and will correct more, but don’t get too greedy trying to catch the falling knife.

But that’s just me. As I said before, I haven’t been paying TOO much attention to this situation as it has little effect on my business.

I'm down almost 1500 in two days. Not good.

I understand it will eventually go back up but watching it go down is not fun at all because of where I am in life right now. Didn't need this shite right now.

BXS is down about 25% in the last 3 weeks on good earnings and mostly positive ratings from analysts. Institutional investors are no more rational than meemaw buying gold because William Devane says so.

I honestly expect themarket to pull back 30-50% and will be buying at the absolute bottom and then holding for 20+ years.

I get the exact opposite impression TBH. I think there was a lot of recent FOMO to get fully invested and out of cash.

Congrats btw, for having liquidity when no one else does

So are you going to start buying at 30% or 50%? What if it only goes down 29%? You just going to wait 10 years for the next drop?

I was just bragging about how my retirement account had grown substantially in the last year, and I'm afraid to look now at where it has regressed in the last month.
