so I didn't buy in, instead purchasing puts for later in February at $35 and $58. I expected the bubble to burst Friday on the last options expiration.

Interested to know how those puts are looking right now.

You said it hadn’t started.

It didn’t. It was truly never able to. It was more popularity than a squeeze, which was amplified by all of the other stocks such as amc, bb, etc

quote:

Blaming buy restrictions on RH for stopping a short squeeze takes a lot of cognitive dissonance. A short squeeze is supposed to support itself - you start it and shorts take it from there as they scramble to cover.

Which was starting to happen but Thursday gave them an out as the only thing possible for retailers was to sell. Do you know how many shorts were covered Thursday? To deny it is simply lying to yourself.

quote:

RH limiting buys did only one real thing - it stopped fools from losing even more money. I told you last week that the squeeze was over and it was just retail investors trading the stock among themselves.

You can’t bring yourself to admit brokers halting buys prevent the squeeze can you? For the sake of your credibility as a financial careerist, please admit it.

The three big halts today as the stock price was going up reminded me of the new phenomenon of stoping the counting of votes on election day. Seems people need time to regroup.

So in the face of an actual explanation of how it all works and data to verify it, you're choosing to hold onto your conspiracy theory. I'll never understand how people can contort their minds into believing some of this stuff.

It’s no different than you being able to predict the bubble bursting Friday. I bet you made millions didn’t you?

If you'd read my post you would have seen that i didn't jump in because I felt like I missed the run up and didn't want to risk money at or near the top. But I did take a gamble on some february puts because I expect it to continue to tank.

So you predicted last week that the bubble would burst Friday (it burst Thursday) based on your feelings and little data and analysis. A true savant you are, share some of those feelings with us on some other stocks.

But I did take a gamble

Of course you did. So quit being hypocritical

I just said the halting reminded me of the halting / stopping of vote counting on election day. It did remind me of the vote count halting, the two are very similar.

Every time you and others in this thread lose at something in life it's because of a conspiracy and the system being rigged against you.

We good now?

I'm buying April 16 $20 puts. Let's see if all those holding to $0 really have the balls. I really think it's worth $20 optimistically

If my profits on GME are considered losing, I hope I lose every trade.

Well, I clearly was not referring to or talking to you. Kudos on knowing how to play this.

Check the tape. I said the short was over Thursday. You disagreed.

Didn't he make his buy late last year? If he gets out of all of this soon, he's still gonna be set for life and then some, but damn that short term capital gains tax.

I’m still holding and with the drop AH I’m buying more. Good luck to us all on our decisions.

Well I dodged a bullet I guess. I was watching premarket before I left for work and didn’t like what I saw and canceled the order. I’m still down a couple grand, but made up for that in other stocks today so I’ll take the hit, ride the rest of my shares to the ground and treat this as a learning experience.

You can’t win em all and if we did we would all be millionaires.

So now you are resorting to stereotyping, which makes you look foolish. I got in at $74 and I sold yesterday at $294. I won.

Now let’s stereotype you. Any time something obvious, that anyone with a lick of sense can conclude, you and others like you act like you’re Nostradamus and everyone else is stupid when it eventually comes to fruition. You like to omit factual evidence and partake in confirmation bias. Further making yourself look foolish.

I never suggested anything like that, other than saying I expected it to tank on Friday. My reaction in this thread was to people who lost and immediately resort to conspiracy theories to explain it. Nothing more, nothing less.

I acknowledge that. I didn’t foresee brokers continuing buying restrictions. It’s not like you knew two weeks ago it would come crashing last Thursday. Can you at least acknowledge the buying halt is what prevented the squeeze?
