I make $10-15k profit a year flipping online. Ebay, Mercari, FB Marketplace, Poshmark. It's a shite ton of work, but I'm a grinder and love the flip/garage sale life, so it's never felt like it was work.
If I was a teacher, I would work all summer flipping and make $50k.

My wife did this for a bit but I had to rein her in a bit and let her know it wasnt worth her time.
You have to be really smart about understanding time and profit on things. It's not worth an hour of your time and a few bucks of gas to sell 1 Echo Dot for $35 to someone and you made $15 with your cost being $20. However, it might make more sense say if you got the Echo Dot for free and sold it for $35 in the same manner. This is things she struggled with. She would celebrate the tough wins even if it netted pretty little for her time invested and wouldnt go after enough big ticket items to make it worth her time.
For example, she got a nice high-end stroller for like $300 and ended up selling it for $550 and didnt spend too much time figuring all that out. She bought 4 nice barstools for $50 and ended up selling them for $200. Thats what she needed to keep doing. The issue is some of her "bigger" ticket items just took so much time invested to sell. She found a nice looking antique large mirror for like $75 and ended up having to sell it for just $100 after spending a ton of time trying to get $250, $200, $150, etc...for it. It also took up quite a bit of space in our townhome before it finally sold
She also didnt leverage ebay or anything like that dealing with shipping. She only sold locally on FB marketplace and the like.
In the end, understanding the prices of what you can get for the stuff you're trying to flip and do the math to see if it's worth your time is what you really have to do. Just dont buy something and assume you can get a price for it and then you spend hours to make $20 and physical effort on something.
She is the ultimate side hustler though, for a while when she was working in town (ATL), she would bring home 4-5 scooters Mon-Thur and charge them to drop off the next day. She would make like $15-$20 or so IIRC charging them overnight and dropping them off the next day. Basically an extra $60-$80/wk for no cost really other than your labor to get them and put them back. Wasn't much time invested in that. But, they're heavy, and she got tired of doing it, so she stopped.

It's by no means not work, but I've been hustling garage sales since I flipped baseball cards and legos when I was 8 and 9 years old. It's a hobby in and of itself. A good flip is better than when my real paycheck hits.
I use the money in 3rds.
1/3 to a vacation fund. 1/3 to my Roth IRA. 1/3 towards the principal on my house.

Flipping and such is easy but it does take knowledge. I would say it is expensive at the beginning as you learn. I never messed with pikemon until recently. I currently make about 500-1000 a month selling. I am bottom feeder as there are collectors doing 10s of thousands

I did umpiring for 4 years after retiring. Good farting around money. Finally got tired of the idiots arguing with me. I did adult softball. Being older and not caring what anyone thinks is a big help. Most of the umpires were older guys who wouldn’t take any crap. Younger guys seemed to have more issues.

No side hustle, my income allows me to invest and live below my means.
I occasionally sell items on Ebay

I was making good money sports betting promo shopping and hedging but alas, the good days are over and the books actually need to turn a profit.

Get a small simple airbnb that you can pay cash for. You don’t need anything nice or fancy. The cash flow you’ll get will surprise you.

Aren't the fees on this expensive? I looked at it because Bitcoin goes up and down like a yoyo during periods. But the amount I was going to have to invest to get around the fees was going to be a sh*t ton.

Not sure what your career is? I'm in IT and have made good money doing work for prior employers. To the point that last year I had to register an LLC because I felt like I needed to protect myself in case a customer got crypto virus or something and blamed me. As of 6/30 I have brought in 21K so far this year, which isn't going to buy me a yacht, but does allow me to throw extra money into retirement and fix stuff around the house. If you are familiar enough with the skill and like it, it can barely be considered "work".

Curious about this … my family has a river camp on the Ouachita due south of Monroe. I’m pretty much the only one that uses it, so I considered putting a little TLC into it and putting on airbnb… wasn’t sure if the juice would be worth the squeeze..guess maybe it is.
