With all this said WMT desperately need to raise that dividend not even at 1% with all this price growth. I have a feeling that is coming next quarter..

____________

They raise it every quarter, but don't expect it to be much.

That's not really on Walmart but the delivery drivers here just suck. I recently had Albertson's delivery and that driver sucked too.

own Amazon (and anyone who owns an index fund owns Amazon). They don’t complement each other.

I own Amazon but I also own Shopify and global-e which all complement one another very nicely.

You can’t own everything so to me just buy Amazon and forget the other retailers
__________

What has WMT stock price done this year? 75%

I like wmt, amzn and costco.

Walmart's index membership is Russell 1000, Dow Jones Industrial Average, Dow Jones Composite, S&P 500 Consumer Staples, Russell 3000, S&P 100, S&P 500, Investing.com United States 30, and Investing.com United States 500.

if you on funds or etfs that track any or all of these indexes you own WMT already. SPY alone holds 53MM shares

Of course. That's the way large indexes or funds work. My index/fund money is where the largest percent of my money is, but no reason to not own individual shares as well. Those are my side hustle. I understand diversification, but making money is the goal. No need to diversify to the extreme.

I never understood why the poli board tards insist on coming to this board to try and convince everyone they are too poor to buy milk and eggs. I’ve never seen an instance where they seem capable of understanding basic finance concepts.

consumer stock

To be fair, ETSY is an online marketplace, not a consumer company. I suppose you could argue the e-market is for consumers…. But they operate and maintain the e-market. There is a ton of value in that which is why they were trading like a tech company. It makes sense.

SHOP at 115, can go to 120 now without resistance. Short day low volume…next week it has a ramp if sales are strong

A lot of conversation in this thread about AMZN and the consumer website.

Not one mention of AWS who is the breadwinner. AMZN's moat is very wide. It is not JUST a retail stock.

A potential game changer for AMZN is not even talked about in this thread..... Trainium 2

well said. Every single investor should have substantial equity interest in AMZN. It’s non negotiable.

another consumer name than has a lot more going on with it under the hood than it would first appear is HIMS. I’m watching and learning about this one as much as I can and deciding whether I want to own it. It has potential
