Sorry, A--that sounds miserable.

Friend of mine has worked 7 days a week since he started...I guessing this becomes the norm.

The sad thing is the MDs/principals could GAF if the newbs leave or not. Keep grinding guys, it is what you make of it.

This profession is in-TENSE!!!!!! 30 hrs first two days. Complete mental gymnastics. I've never been this overwhelmed while at the same time completely ecstatic in my life. A, I'm with you bro. Much respect. These people are freaks of nature. It took me three half days to find my bearings but I'm feeling great now.

I can see this getting extremely addicting. Also, they just dropped on me they want me to take CFA1 ..... in December! On top of 7, 63, 86, 87, 80+ hours.

Mind = BLOWN! Sleep, FTW.

I can only imagine. They expanded my internship responsibilities today and even though its the same type of thing I've done for 2 years, they do things differently and on a much larger scale. I was having a freak out moment for a couple of hours.

Quick question. I'm about to start a new job whose 401k match is 50 cents on the dollar for the first %8. What's the difference between doing this and dollar for dollar on the first %4 when the outlay for the company would be the same?

Less likely to actually put aside 8% of your salary for the match versus 4%, thus reducing the amount the firm has to value as an estimation set aside for 401k matching.

That is the best I've got.

That def makes sense. My only other thought is it is beneficial for the company to have more total funds to manage but I don't know if that's true or not.

If they don't buy the study aids for you, do it yourself.

If you have to get them yourself, email me and I'll help you out with some info.

I imagine they'll provide all the material for me, but I will definitely give you a ring if they don't. Really appreciate it.

I've learned more excel and more finance in three days than I ever could have imagined. Loving this but the hours are grueling. I've yet to see the sun before lunch.

Yeah...not jealous.

I didn't think you would be working those type of hours. Is it coat and tie?

Suit pants and shirt. Most people bring a jacket/tie with them.

Still haven't had a lick of free time, but I'm going to email you here sooner or later and we'll have a few beers.
