PLTR- who's a buyer at these levels?

I flipped this back in the WSB GME/AM short squeeze saga for a quick 50%. It's been hovering in the low 20's the past few months now.
The long-term growth story seems pretty compelling here, but the valuation, even at today's prices, is like 30X current year revenues which may still seem very expensive.
What is the board's thoughts on this stock? Thanks.

Yikes. Seems like the recent rotation has been out of companies like this, not into them.

Cathie Wood loves it. No thanks

All bullshite aside, this is one of the most popular stocks for retail traders while also being one of the poorest performing stocks on the market.. I.e. its a trap

Bought PLTR at close to 50% off ATHs - getting smashed hard
SNOW is another POS stock
AI is the worse. Down 65% from ATHs
All 3 keep falling with little end in sight and were nothing short of IPO pump and dump garbage

I bought PLTR at $9.36 the day it opened. I only bought 50 because I thought it would likely drop to $6 or $7 after a few weeks and I planned to buy 1000 shares. Kicking myself in the arse now. I’m long on PLTR and think it will be $90 in 1-2 years. They aren’t software, they are a paradigm shift in increased efficiency for any organization that collects large amounts of data. They are so far ahead of any potential competition that they essentially have total control of a brand new market. They just had a demonstration day for clients that people are raving about. Plus Thiel has hand picked management and is highly involved. Guy is a genius. PLTR may be overvalued currently but it won’t be for long. I’m going to buy more on any significant dip.
I thought SNOW was highly overvalued so I’m not just a new tech IPO fanboy. I think SNOW drops to $80 this year. I’m completely convinced PLTR will revolutionize data integration and prediction models when businesses and government fully understand what Foundry and Gotham actually do. Most CEOs can’t understand the technology fully currently.

The problem with Palantir is that they’re not new. They’ve been around forever and don’t really make much money, relative to their valuation, that is.
It was a direct listing too, so it was insiders, investors, and employees that were happy to sell at $11 back in September. To think that they undervalued their own business by 8x in a 1-2 year time frame is pretty tough to imagine IMO.
Eta- I think PLTR is a reasonable addition at these prices for a longer term investor, but I think the case for $90 within 2 years is a bit difficult to rationalize.

The argument they aren’t new so it’s over valued makes no sense. Yes they were founded in 2004 but it was a whole new technology that Thiel only had a vague model for. Of course it took time to develop Gotham. Then they added Foundry. You don’t develop that technology over night. I think a lot of long time employees cashed out because people are risk adverse and would rather have a million now when they have the chance. I don’t see Thiel or Karp selling everything. PLTR is adding product lines and once business figures out how PLTR increases profitability they will be long time customers. I’m happy when doubters don’t buy in because it will lower the price for me.

The problem with PLTR is what they are offering to the market is difficult to understand for both the average and sophisticated investor.
It’s unclear from the product demonstrations whether the company’s Foundry application is a true paradigm shift or if it’s just a niche thing that won’t or can’t be used by the broader population of enterprises trying leverage their data.

I’m holding 200 shares in my swing account at $22.00
I’m trying to let the bleeding stop before I add anymore. It’s a high conviction play of mine, long-term (1-3 years)
CHPT is another play im very high on that’s getting crushed.

If you like CHPT you should check out NVVE as well. It’s getting slaughtered asking with other EV stocks, but is way cheaper on a revenue multiple basis. Excluding cash, they have a market cap that is may dip under 1x 2022 projected revenues ($90M) soon. I am loading up on warrants down here, but fully expect we may see another 20-25% sell off before the carnage ends.

2022 should be a good year for PLTR. I think AI plays will be popular due to the shortages in workers.

A lot of these types of stocks are getting slaughtered right now. Market isn’t favorable for them at the moment
Basically if you’re a swing trader you should avoid these right now. If you believe in the company and will hold long term enjoy the cheap shares opportunity
