Per USA Today:

USA Today Article

Also, in more than 650 other counties — about a fifth of the nation — the number of foreclosure actions actually dropped since 2006.

Hmmm.

All the loan officers in those counties should be strung up by there toenails and we should be able to stone them to death.

It does suggest that there may be political resistance to the bailout.

Any guessing how these counties voted in the POTUS election. I live in Orange county, Florida and it went for Obama.

LSU Wag, I was watching local news tonite and one of the counties in Central Fl (maybe your county?) is spending their $14Million from the Fed Gov, that was allocated strictly to help struggling home owners, to build a new medical clinic with 30 apartment units over the clinic. Like, we really need more empty apartments and medical facilities. I can't throw a rock without hitting some sort of bk/empty medical facility...all built because we have so many retirees here and many of them are on Medicare. I live in Volusia County, btw.
